Mayandi Kudumbattaar is an adaptation of a real-life incident that took place in a hamlet, Anappatti, near Madurai Chozhavandhan. This directors special is directed by Rasu Madhuravan. Music is by Sabesh-Murali. Tharun Gopi plays the lead role and the other nine directors who act in this film are: Seeman, Jagannath, Ravimariya, Nanda Periyasamy, Manivannan, GM Kumar, Senthamizhan, Singappuli and Azhagam Perumal. Poongodi, a Kerala-based model-actress is the heroine.
