Taronga Zoo's new baby elephant is no longer called Mr Shuffles - he has officially been named Pathi Harn. The name means "miracle" in the Thai language, reflecting the fact that he was born alive on March 10 after experts mistakenly assumed he had died in his mother's womb. He was nicknamed Mr Shuffles by zoo staff because his early walking attempts resembled the shuffle of an elderly man. At a naming ceremony at the zoo today, NSW Environment Minister Frank Sartor conceded the nickname would probably stick with him. "Pathi Harn will of course be the name that will replace Mr Shuffles, which I suppose will remain the nickname," he said. The zoo had called on the public to choose a Thai name for the calf from a list of seven. Abu Zafar Obaidullah (1934-2001), a career civil servant by profession, was a first-rank poet of Bangladesh. Two of his long poems, namely, 'Aami-Kingbadantir-Kauthaa Bolchhi' and 'Bristi O Shahosi Purush-er Jonyo Pranthona' have gained legendary renowence since their first publicaiton in late 1970s. On February 8, 1934 poet Abu Zafar Mohammad Obaidullah Khan (AZM Obaidullah Khan) was born in Baherchar-Kshudrakathi village under Babuganj upazila of Barisal district on 8 February 1934, in undivided India. He was the second son of Justice Abdul Jabbar Khan, a former speaker of the Pakistan national assembly. He received his primary education in Mymensingh town where his father Abdul Jabbar Khan was at that time working as the District Judge. In 1948, he passed Matriculation examination from the Mymensingh Zilla School. He passed the Intermediate of Arts examination as a student of the Dhaka College in 1950. Then he got admitted into the Dhaka University for studying English and after securing BA (Honours) and MA degrees he joined the same university in 1954 as a lecturer in the Department of English. A news or opinion media piece is not really about the merit of facts but rather has become the dispute between the political parties. American political reporting is at a lost for a news reporter that we can trust to help us weed through the garbage. Instead, the media is split up into many pieces, each with its own translation of truth.
This is my all-time favorite Spidey villain.
