Briggs believes they were both working for a man named Shang Tsung. He asks Masashi to kill them in a mysterious tournament hosted by Tsung. When offered his freedom in exchange for accomplishing such tasks, Masashi reveals that he willingly had himself incarcerated--and could free himself at any time. Then Sonya Blade arrives with a folder and informs Masashi that his enemy Sub-Zero is alive and the one he killed was his older brother. It becomes clear to Masashi that the terms of his participation in the tournament involve killing Reptile, Baraka and Shang Tsung in return for access to Sub-Zero. Since the real Sub-Zero will be at the tournament, Masashi, now calling himself Scorpion, agrees to participate. [edit]

London: 24 September 2009 Flash Alert! Flash Alert! It has been ten days or so since I have published anything for you dear viewer and the reason is I have been to Deauville by the sea in France for the 35th American Film Festival. It was a fruitful ten days because I and have collected a good number of films ready to go. This is the first time I have attempted anything like this and I made several discoveries about working away from base. I went equipped with a powerful new Sony Vaio laptop with spare batteries, European adapters, two great Panasonic HD camera, Adobe CS4 Premiere Pro for editing and a USB stick with a plan to upload at a local Internet café. I discovered Deauville is a sleepy retreat for the silver haired Paris folk and has only one internet café with just two PCs and even that was a forty five minute walk from where I was. I discovered that uploading three hundred megabytes per film is not an option while travelling. Apart from the cost, all the keyboards are in French as well as the screens that tell you how to proceed. I had a hard time even finding the full stop, so I used the time queuing up to edit and rendered my films to have them all ready to upload once back in Leicester Square. Im back so here we go. Day nine of the festival, the weather is beautiful but it is almost over. It is a long day for me with a five am start queuing up for a great spot to see Harrison Ford. At six pm there is a screening of Black Dynamite, director Scott Sanders ...
