BEST VIEWED IN HD - FULL SCREEN Montauk is located on the extreme Eastern tip of Long Island, NY. It is an unincorporated village in the town of East Hampton. It is a tourist destination, but it is not overrun with development. It is still an active fishing village, both commercial and sport fishing, and claims to have more saltwater fishing records than anywhere else in the world. Montauk derives its name from the Montaukett Indians, an Algonquin speaking tribe who once lived there. Disinformation, also known as Disinfo Nation, was a television show hosted by Richard Metzger. MONTAUK CHRONICLES A FILM BY CHRISTOPHER P. GARETANO It has been referred to as Area 51 east. Montauk is a remote US town located on the very eastern tip of Long Island, New York. High on a hill above the rocky waters of the Atlantic Ocean looms a giant rusted radar tower. It's a ghost relic of the past that local fishermen use as a marker to help guide their ships safely to shore. The old military tower is also a landmark for what once was an active Camp Hero Air Force Base. The base has a recorded history that dates back to the revolutionary war.
