*Sorry the vid is so shaky. Kinda tough to run and shoot at the same time.* This is the second time running this race for me. Improved my time by 4 minutes over last year. This is one of the most fun events a person can run. The atmosphere is great, the energy is high, there are bands all along the course, the supporters come out in droves, people run in costume, it's amazing! Done in memory of Mamama. Thank you to all who supported/inspired me! Finish time - 45:28 1268 out of 30798 finishers

On Memorial Day, May 31, 2010, Kessler Foundation will celebrate its Tenth Annual Wheelchair 10K, the wheelchair division of the Ridgewood Run held each year in Ridgewood, NJ. With the support of the North Jersey Masters Running Club, the Kessler Foundation Wheelchair 10K has grown to one of the largest 10K events in the country. Other event sponsors include: Park Avenue BMW, Global Risk Consultants, Marriott® Residence Inn, New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority (NJSEA), Ridgewood Running Company, and The Bushwell Organization In 2009, 26 racers from ten states filled the streets of Ridgewood to vie for more than $10000 in prize money. The event featured course record holder and two-time NYC Marathon champion, Krige Schabort, who lost his legs in an explosion while serving in the South African military. The race also included members of the wheelblazers, the racing team sponsored by Kessler Foundation. The team, which is open to individuals of high school age or older, provides individuals with physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in an organized team sport. The Kessler Foundation Wheelchair 10K is part of the wheelblazers Grand Prix, a joint venture of Kessler Foundation and the Tri-State Wheelchair Athletic Association.
