Here are some pictures of the Hobby Horse trucks (and some others) at the 2009 Make-A-Wish Mother's day convoy. This is an annual fundraiser to help terminally ill children. We had a great time as usual and it's nice to be able to do something that helps children while at the same time being fun for us. I heard two different counts for the total number of trucks, 370 and 380, but either way that is a great turnout for them. Some of the pictures were taken by myself and the rest were used by permission from supershowrigs dot com.

I talk about a small grocery haul from an independent grocery store where I purchased papaya, mangoes, bananas, kiwi, and flax seed. I tell about waiting for my daughter to take me out for lunch for over four hours! I did not know that there was a plan in the works to trick me. I was reading the newspaper and feeling as if I could fall asleep on Sunday afternoon. I had left the computer uploading pictures on myspace of our visit last Sunday to Tower Hill. About two hours later, I go to check on the upload. At last, I hear the door opening and my youngest daughter' says "Hello Mom". I was tricked big time! You have to know that I have not seen Emily since the fall of 2006. I knew that she looked the same because she was in NE when I was in Dominica last year. My husband told me that she looked fine. Nothing like getting that first hug. I am certain their will be more this week. We all went to a Longhorn Restaurant where I knew there were many choices of steak. It was a long time waiting for lunch, folks!
