If you've been following my videos on www.peopleyouthinkyouknow.com - most of these scenes will be familiar to you. However, I am experimenting with how I will be pulling sequences from the website to create the eventual feature-length documentary. Judging from this short (compiled from 5 previous scenes and some new content), it will prove to be a very enjoyable process - like putting together a giant jigsaw puzzle. This 8-minute piece will be screened at the Laguna Art Museum in Laguna Beach, CA this February the 26th. Stop by if you are in the neighborhood.
ا sahamnews.org www.facebook.com Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi met with each other this morning. In this meeting Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karoubi while objecting to the continuation of the current situation and the execution sentences issued for some of the political prisoners without the proper judiciary procedure, expressed deep sorrow over the hasty execution of two of the political prisoners. Additionally in this meeting the Green leaders invited all people to participate in the February 11th rally (which will be held on the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Republic)
I had previously uploaded this video from another account that I deactivated myself. Taraneh Mousavi was a beautiful young women. She was about 28 years old. She was studying to be a beautician. She was one of the many unfortunate people who was arrested, detained, raped, and tortured. Her remains were found near the Ghoba Mosque. Note: An Imposter by the name of Kaveh Jafari has taken this drawing, removed the signature and date of this drawing with the help of computer technology, and has claimed it as his own in facebook. Kaveh Jafari, along with Sara Kermani, were both identified as potential agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran by facebook user Salar Sadeghi. Please enter Kaveh Jafari's name in the search engine and see for yourselves. Remember that during these difficult days throughout which many innocent Iranians are being abused and are losing their lives, there are those who are using these events to their advantage while disguised as genuine supporters of this struggle.
Iranian opposition leader Mirhossein Mousavi raised the stakes in Irans ongoing political crisis on Friday with the announcement that he was ready to become a martyr in his drive to challenge the June 12 re-election of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. "I am not unwilling to become a martyr like those who made that sacrifice after the election for their rightful national and religious demands," Mousavi said on his Kaleme.org website, his first public statement since opposition demonstrations on Sunday were violently put down by police. The opposition leaders nephew was among at least eight people killed during the protests, which took place on the Shiite holy day of Ashura. Mousavi also warned that, "Until there is an acknowledgement of the existence of a serious crisis in the country, there will be no possibility of resolving the problems and issues." The disputed June election prompted the most virulent political protests in Iran since the 1979 overthrow of the US-backed Shah, and opposition protests have intermittently erupted in the capital and elsewhere in the months since. On Wednesday, hundreds of thousands of pro-government demonstrators heeded the regimes call to turn out in support of Ahmadinejads administration. A representative of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on Tuesday called Iran's opposition leaders "enemies of God" and said they should face execution under Islamic Sharia law. The head of police has warned demonstrators that they will face ...

(12 July 2009) Iranian authorities have informed the family of Sohrab Aarabi, 19, that he died of gunshot wounds to his heart, 26 days after he disappeared during a demonstration on 15 June, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran reported today. Aarabis mother, Parvin Fahimi, a member of the Mothers for Peace organization, made numerous attempts to obtain information about his situation, taking his photograph to prisons, courts and other addresses. Finally, on 11 July, after the protests commemorating the 18 Tir student demonstrations in 1999, the family was summoned by the Revolutionary Court and referred to the Investigatory Bureau (Agahi), and asked to identify Sohrab from among several photographs of corpses. According to family members interviewed by the Campaign, his body had arrived at the coroners office on 19 June, five days after his disappearance. Sohrab Aarabi was due to begin his university studies this year. Aarabi died of gun-shot wounds to his heart but it is not clear if he was first injured and taken to a hospital and died later or that he died on the street on 15 June. more info: tehranbureau.com
