Leo Alexander is one of the candidates for the DC Mayoral Election. A couple of weeks on August 11th Alexander made a statement at a Forum that he will push for HIV testing at the DMV, if most of you are not familiar it what some other people call a MVA. You know that place where you pick up your License. I wondered why someone would want a testing center at every DMV in DC. Then he made the most outrageous statement I've ever heard come from a candidate of any election. Alexander says he wants to push to have everyone who is a DC resident have their HIV status on the Driver's License. I thought ARE YOU CRAZY? To me this is almost as bad as someone branding me with a red hot poker. This would be one of the most heinous acts done to HIV I've seen. This is appalling. I'm so glad he is not a heavy hitter in the race for DC's Mayor. This would in violation of so many privacy/HIPPA laws it's not even funny. Does he even know what HIPPA is? Also there is another think about Alexander. Two of my reliable sources approach Alexander about this statement at a picnic some days later. Alexander was asked about what he said at the Forum and he stands strong in his convictions. He also was asked what his campaign was proposing to do about hate crimes against the LGBT Community in DC. Ocean City, MD Fire Dept responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on August 20, 2010. According to news reports, an 11-year-old Maryland boy was attempting to cross Coastal Highway when he was struck by a vehicle. The boy was treated at the scene by Ocean City paramedics and was transported via Maryland State Police helicopter to the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Center in Baltimore.

Owings Mills, MD - July 5. 2010 - Shortly after 3 pm Monday, July 5, Baltimore County westside units were alerted for a reported rollover motor vehicle crash on Interstate 795 between exits 1 & 4 (Local Box 2-50). While units were en route, Baltimore County Fire Dispatch advised units callers to 911 were now reporting a person was trapped in the vehicle, and the call was upgraded to a rescue, bringing Pikesville Volunteer Fire Company Squad 322 and additional units to the scene. Owings Mills Volunteer Fire Company Truck 313 arrived on the Interstate north of Exit 4 / Owings Mills Boulevard reporting a two vehicle MVA with a Chevrolet SUV that rolled over, with the driver trapped (Rescue Box 31-50). Command reported the patient was a Priority 1 trauma and requested a Maryland State Police Trooper for medevac. Firefighters extricated the driver and Squad 322's crew assisted with patient care, with BCoFD Medic 2 (Pikesville career) triaging and preparing the patient for transport to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. On August 7th 2009 as most of you know I got married to my partner. A week ago I took Motorcycle lessons and passed. So I needed to go to the MVA in Beltsville, Maryland to get my Motorcycle License, then I thought while Im there I need to go get my name changed. Since I got married I changed my name to Mr. Justin B Terry-Smith which is not on my license. I also needed to get my address changed as well. So I went to the Maryland MVA and take a look at the video and I will explain what happened. This experience wasnt what I wanted but it wasnt a bad one. The people there were friendly and helped me out a lot. They were well informed and eager to help me. But also think about all the loop holes we as LGBT people have to o through that many others do not. SUPPORT SAME SEX MARRIAGE
Around 12:30 am Saturday October 3, Baltimore City firefighters at Steadman Station downtown heard a loud crash a block from the firehouse, and upon investigation found a crash involving a Maryland Transit Administration light rail train and a Chrysler Sebring car on Howard Street near Lombard Street. Firefighters found the car wedged under the front of the train with the driver heavily trapped, although two passengers were able to self-extricate and sustained only minor injuries. Firefighters winched the car out from under the nose of the 4-car train and began removing the cars roof and doors to free the driver. Firefighters from BCFD Engine 23, Rescue 1 and Truck 16 were able to free the driver after about a 30-minute extrication, and she was transported via Medic 23 in serious condition to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Witnesses told police the car was traveling westbound on Lombard Street when the driver ran a red light at the intersection with Howard Street, where the northbound occupied train struck the car broadside and pushed it approximately 50 75 feet up the street until both stopped on the side of the 1st Mariner Arena.
