3DAutoSports.com - This is a model that replicates the new Nascar Nationwide series COT car for the 2010 season. This model is great for rendering templates and paint schemes. I created a simple layout on a 4094x4096 (psd) texture. The max scene also includes all textures including the HDR image. All renders were created with the scan line render. The car mesh is around 30500 polys. The wheel are only 236 polys but use poly smooth in the render. The inside of the car was modeled and textures to appear to be in dark shadow. Reducing polycount inside the car to increase render times. Please download the 360° preview to get a better view of the vehicle. Please note, if you are not using going to use the max file, depending on your 3d software you might need to re-apply the textures to the 3ds or obj formats.

This video is a bit of a mixture - it's basically the contents of a parcel that arrived for me this morning. In the main it's a diecast review on Matt Kenseth's Dewalt Tools Ford, plus a couple of other diecasts I got as well, and also some questions for you guys. If anybody has any templates I could use, post the video with the template in as a video response. Also, follow me on Twitter: twitter.com
Not the best I ever made but a very good one!

www.blacktree.tv Nascar Nextel Cup Chase.... Jeff Bodine discusses the Car of Tomorrow On January 12, 2006, NASCAR announced a universal car named "Car of Tomorrow" (or "COT" for short) after a seven-year design program sparked mostly due to the death of Dale Earnhardt Sr., one of the sport's premier superstars, in a final lap crash during the 2001 Daytona 500. The then-current cars were based on Holman Moody's 1966 Ford Fairlane. The primary design considerations were "safety innovations, performance and competition, and cost efficiency for teams." All cars are required to fit the same set of templates, using a device that has been named "the claw" that is designed to fit over the new cars. In the first two races at Bristol and Martinsville, the garages were opened one day early and the inspections took up to ten hours so that everyone (teams, officials, etc.) could get a better grip on the new unified template. NASCAR's old rules had a different set of templates for each manufacturer (Ford, Chevy, Dodge, and Toyota). NASCAR has frequently adjusted the rules to ensure that different car manufacturers have relatively equal cars. The universal body of the Car of Tomorrow will eliminate these problems, but could cause many more unforeseen problems. The car is advertised as reducing dependence on aerodynamics. It features a detached wing, which has not been used since the Dodge Charger Daytona and Plymouth Superbird in 1970. The windshield is more upright ...
