We're just three days into 2010, but we may have our college basketball play of the year. Florida junior Chandler Parsons hit a 70-foot 3-pointer Sunday in Raleigh to give the Gators a stunning 62-61 victory over NC State. The Wolfpack held a two-point lead with 2.6 seconds remaining when Farnold Degand missed a free throw. Parsons grabbed the rebound, took four steps and heaved the ball from three-quarters court. You could go years without seeing as good a buzzer-beater in college basketball. Great win for the Gators, but I'd be remiss if I didn't rain on the parade a little and ask why it's taking miracle buzzer-beaters to beat NC State? Wasn't Billy Donovan supposed to be building a perennial power in Gainesville? Two straight NIT berths (with a third looking possible) wasn't quite what anyone had in mind.

Hey guys, just thought i would throw together some bad referee calls this year in football. I'm tired of the terrible refereeing, and I'm sure you are too. There were many others I could think of but I couldn't find any videos of them. A couple include: Florida vs Mississippi state fumble at the goal line, South Carolina vs Vanderbilt, South Carolina didn't make the 2nd quarter touchdown catch: it was clearly bobbled.
