www.SERoundtable.com - This week at the Search Engine Roundtable I cover a nice amount of topics, I wanted to highlight the most important items. First, Yahoo Site Explorer has dropped out a ton of the links, Yahoo is saying it is Microsoft's fault. Google did a PageRank update for some. Google is testing a new AdWords Preview Tool, check it out. Advertisers are seeing huge spikes in cost per click costs since the Yahoo and adCenter migration. Google may have stopped indexing Blogspot domains. Google might not wipe out your old links after a reconsideration request, but you should submit one when you buy a new domain and there is no way to cancel it. We have some more May Day theories for you. Google talked a bit about HTML5 and how they index it, on an SEO basis. Google brought back the report offensive images in Google Image Search. Google is testing a new auto detect location feature. Google Maps now divides reviews from third part sources. We covered SES Chicago this week. Google had a logo for Dizzy Gillespie, famous Jazz trumpeter and they now have logos for your very own birthday. That was this week at the Search Engine Roundtable. www.SERoundtable.com - I missed last week's recap, so I covered two weeks in this single recap. Also note, I am offline the next two Fridays, so I will not be producing a video recap for a couple weeks. That being said, this week I covered the Google Instant news, including my NBC appearance. Bing reached new heights, reaching the number two position above Yahoo, below Google as a search engine. Google made a small PageRank update. I released the Google webmaster report for September 2001. Google released new attributes for multi-lingual sites. I published eight new polls. Google's advertiser spend was revealed by a leaked internal Google memo. Google brings back the affiliate network. Twitter completely redesigned, it is neat. WOW the new Google logo is really cool. If you know the reason Google has implemented this new logo, please post in the comments below. I'm very interested in discovering why! Hope you enjoy! Peace :)
In celebration of their birthday, today Google unveiled an interesting new interactive logo. The word "Google" on the internet giant's homepage is made up of a number of colorful balls that move around to avoid your cursor, and then settle into place when you don't move toward them. Check it out here: www.google.com Google's Logo Turns To Bouncing Balls For Anniversary www.npr.org Join The Daily Conversation on Facebook tinyurl.com Follow our Tweets for new videos twitter.com The background image is a screen capture of the Google homepage and is used under the full legal protection of 'fair use,' meeting the guidelines of criticism, analysis and news sharing while using a minimal amount of the copywritten work.
Idea conceived and put together over the last couple of hours. I noticed that Google's latest logo designs were becomming more interactive . Also I've been a big fan of the american beuty film since it was released, having seen it at least 6 times or so and for this parody it seems to work well. If you haven't seen the new design on google yet you should go check it out :) www.google.co.uk hope you enjoy
Thank you for 14000 views! On 7 September 2010, this customised Google homepage logo appeared. The modified logo is made out of bouncy balls which move whenever you attempt to move your mouse over them. When you take your mouse away from the bouncy balls, they gradually reform to make the Google logo. As this particular version of the logo did not have a link attached to it - as most custom Google logos do - speculation has mounted as to the purpose of this particular logo, with some claiming that the logo is being used to celebrate 12 years since the launch of Google, while others speculate that this in recognition of a new HTML5 feature which was being tested on YouTube at the time. In this clip, you can view over one minute of these bouncy balls. This clip contains no audio. ©Google 2010. All rights reserved. No copyright infringement is intended.

For September 7, 2010 Google updated their homepage to use Javascript and HTML 5 which adds bouncy-colored balls that react to the cursor or the browser window being moved. This was possibly added for Google's anniversary. Only speculation, though.
Google have produced a logo for their homepage that seemingly hates the mouse curser, when you pass over the logo the dots scatter in different directions only to settle when you leave the logo alone. Experts say the logo relates to css3, a new format in web design. Looks great and is a bit of fun too.

Google Logo September 7 2010 -- New Google Doodle HTML5 Balls -- Google has a new doodle that was unveiled just moments ago. Thus far we have no idea what it is, but it is a great treat where you can spend hours chasing after colorful balls that regroup to write the word Google. It might be a new game or it symbolizes some great event or could be a way to celebrate the anniversary of some neat invention. Or it could be a way for Google to celebrate their birthday -- the company was founded on September 4, 1998. google logo, google logo today, google doodle, google today s logo, google balls, google today

An Awesome new homepage from google. t.co Fully interactive and really cool. It features balls that when you move your cursor towards, they in turn move away in the opposite direction. Reports suggest that this could just be a demonstration of the power of HTML5 through the 'Google Chrome Experiments' program. It could also be to celebrate Googles birthday.
Evade, a new take on the Google logo trick. Looks like she's all done in HTML5 too.

Start the video about 20 seconds in, and you can here me talking about this cool new homepage of Google. Great commentary! Recorded a video of the new homepage of Google, that of which has Pac Man made into the Google logo. I had found a glitch while video taping, where my "Pac Man" was in a safety zone right underneath the O of Google, on the bottom of the screen. Pretty cool actually. I was able to play the game and avoid the "cops" pretty well and just go back into my safety zone lol.
Just me playing 2 player Co-op pacman on google. Its very neat featuring MR and Mrs. pacman thought it be cool to show all of youtube. Not sure when the mini game would still be up but hey, check it out. Lets celebrate 30 years of Pac-Man history and check out for more video just Subscribe and follow me on twitter: cookingbacon! On May the 21st 2010, Google celebrated the 30th birthday of Pac-Man with it's first ever interactive logo. Marking 30 years since the original game release, the logo will be up for just 48 hours. Google said the launch of Pac-Man marked "a significant moment in popular culture", and said that web users had 48 hours to "re-live the nostalgia" of the 1980s by playing the game on the Google site.
Google is honoring the 30th anniversary of the classic video game Pac-Man with a "Google Doodle" logo that doubles as a fully playable version of the game, complete with what I remember as the correct sound effects. Just click the "Insert Coin" button to start playing, use your keyboard's cursor keys to navigate around a maze that includes a version of Google's logo--and, then, if you came of age in 1980s, watch as familiar reflexes take hold. This is easily the greatest homage to Namco's arcade classic since a bunch of overactive NYU students staged a live version of the game around Washington Square Park called--what else?--Pac-Manhattan. A Google blog post notes that this is the Mountain View, Calif., company's first playable Google Doodle, advises that it's around for the next two days and explains how to activate a hidden feature--bringing Ms. Pac-Man into the game. I found it was too difficult to control Ms. Pac-Man with the W, A, S and D keys while steering around her mate with the cursor keys, but it's been a long time since I played Pac-Man in any form. How'd that work for you? Have you found any other Easter eggs in the game? And here's a link to the Google Pac Man game. voices.washingtonpost.com

Happy Birthday Pacman! About Pacman: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pac-Man (パックマン, Pakkuman?) is an arcade game developed by Namco and licensed for distribution in the US by Midway, first released in Japan on May 22, 1980. Immensely popular in the United States from its original release to the present day, Pac-Man is universally considered as one of the classics of the medium, virtually synonymous with video games, and an icon of the 1980s popular culture. Upon its release, the game—and, subsequently, its derivatives—became a social phenomenon that sold a bevy of merchandise and also inspired, among other things, an animated television series and a top-ten hit single. When Pac-Man was released, the most popular arcade video games were space shooters, in particular Space Invaders and Asteroids. The most visible minority were sports games that were mostly derivative of Pong. Pac-Man succeeded by creating a new genre and appealing to both genders.Pac-Man is often credited with being a landmark in video game history, and is among the most famous arcade games of all time. The character also appears in more than 30 officially licensed game spin-offs, as well as in numerous unauthorized clones and bootlegs. According to the Davie-Brown Index, Pac-Man has the highest brand awareness of any video game character among American consumers, recognized by 94 percent of them. Pac-Man is one of the longest ...

We covered my new Apple iPad on our last episode and now the Moxie Mo Show discusses new findings that the next-gen iPhone will record 720 HD video with its new camera. Will this make pocket cams go out of business if the new iPhone can record in true 720p HD? Also, Google revamps its search engine site by changing its logo, ever so slightly, and adding several new search features to give you the best search experience on the web. Some say Google is "pulling a Bing.com" yet others say Google has had these new, moxie features in beta testing for a long time. Nonetheless, we show you the new Google and the new left navigation pane that allows you to search exactly what you're looking for! Last but not least, Microsoft conducted a study with over 1200 recruiters from several different companies. The findings shouldn't surprise you - companies are researching potential candidates before they hire them. We've discussed this on several Moxie Mo Shows before, but what Microsoft uncovered is which sites companies use most to research their candidates. Some of the results may surprise you! When you use my promo code MOXIE at Angie's List, you'll save 25% off your membership so you can hire the most reputable contractors, doctors, lawyers, etc to do everything and anything you need done!
