This is a unique collection of technology from the late 1800's and early 1900's. It includes both improvised and designed equipment from automobiles to large screen movie projectors. This is a hands on museum for both adults and kids alike!

FOX21 New highlights Black History month today with a look at Elijah McCoy. In the early 1900's McCoy rose to heroic status in the African American community by holding more patents than any other black inventor up to that time. We have McCoy to thank for things like the lawn sprinkler and the folding ironing board, but most of his work related to steam engines. One of his inventions in this field became very popular and widely copied. Many railroad engineers knew quality when they saw it however, and insisted their engines be fitted with the "Real McCoy."
Shown is my sloppy attempt at making a Thermopile. The book "The Boy Electrician" by Alfred P. Morgan describes a Thermopile you can make with German Silver wire and Copper Wire. The claim is that this will produce upwards to 6 volts at .25 amps. I'm using steal wire ... and not getting very good results. But this was a fun little experiment. If you can do better, please post your video response. There are some quite amazing Thermopile inventions. Just search the web. These were popular in the early 1900s, but we seemed to have forgotten about them.

This company has yet to get permission to manufacture their inventions. These type of devices have been suppressed since the early 1900's.
