The woman, who claims to have fought on the front line of the war in South Ossetia, asserts Saakashvili began war. The journalist says Georgian president treated this war as a game, in which she and others like her had to be the victims. But the fact is that Nino Matkava does not serve in Georgian army as she was sacked for negligence on June 12, 2006. Therefore, she could not be in the army during the aggression.

Prior to presentation, which was co-hosted by the Unites States Embassy, Prof. Arno Scharl introduced attendants to the university's Department of New Media Technology and outlined current research activities, including the recently re-launched US Election 2008 Web Monitor and Sentiment Quiz. Mr. Clemons focused on how the Web impacts the funding of political campaigns, illustrating his arguments with examples of the campaigns for the upcoming US presidential election.
