Hamilton, Sep 19 (PL) The Government of Bermuda today intensified preventive measures at the approach of Hurricane Igor, but was downgraded to category one, it still represents a great danger to the archipelago. A team of 20 health specialists, telecommunications and civil protection was transferred to the Eastern communities, where storms are expected characteristics of tornadoes in the morning. The Emergency Measures Organization in Bermuda warned that since this afternoon canceled public services, paralyzed traffic and off the lighting in the main arteries of the country.
What started as a tropical disturbance off of the coast of Africa moved west last week growing in intensity and becoming powerful Category 4 Hurricane Earl. As it moved toward the United States and tracked just off the East Coast, NOAA satellites captured astounding imagery now put in video format. disasters.exweather.com

Does this guy sound excited or what! Mabey he took some doggie-uppers before his shif began. This video was shot on July 31,1995 on Hollywood Beach as Tropical Storm Erin was just off the Southeast coast of Florida. I held my weather-radio next to my camera as I shot. This video is a little jumpy due to a slight defect in the overall transfer. I think the audio is AWESOME! What do you think.

This is video I shot while driving through Charleston South Carolina late on the night of September 21th 1989 as Hurricane Hugo, a strong cat.-4 Hurricane with 135-MPH winds approched the coast. After a brief stop at a road side motel, me and my chase partner resumed our drive looking for a suitable place to ride out the storm. You can hear the Charleston Noaa Weather Radio as our car is buffetted by wind gusts of between 45 and 65-MPH. You can also see the power going off and on at various times around the city.
