The defending national champions would enter the 2001 season with new faces at key positions. Nate Hybl would replace legend Josh Heupel at quarterback and freshman Tommie Harris would start on the defensive line at tackle. The Sooners would quickly punch North Carolina in the mouth with a 41-14 lead at halftime. The Tar Heels would rally to cut it to 41-27 for the final. Bob Stoops Sooners would extend their winning streak to 14.
I am attempting to play through this year's field of Bowl Games using NCAA Football 10. This is the 8th game of the bowl season, The Meineke Care Care Bowl between North Carolina and Pitt.
