An Ohio family recently learned their 6-year-old daughter was on the Department of Homeland Security's 'no-fly' list, Fox8.com reported. Alyssa Thomas, 6, was traveling with her parents when a ticket agent notified the family she was on the list of restricted fliers. "We were, like, puzzled," said her father, Dr. Santhosh Thomas. "I'm like, well, she's kinda six-years-old and this is not something that should be typical." When the family tried to clear up the issue with Homeland Security, they received a letter notifying them that it could not be changed. "She's been flying since she was two-months old, so that has not been an issue," said Dr. Thomas. "In fact, we had traveled to Mexico in February and there were no issues at that time." Transportation Security Administration told Fox8.com that Alyssa never had any problems before because the "Secure Flight Program" just went into effect in June for all domestic flights. "The watch lists are an important layer of security to prevent individuals with known or suspected ties to terrorism from flying," a TSA spokesman told Fox8.com. The Thomas family plans to make another appeal to Homeland Security

One of the best performances of this song. Live in Kansas City November 19, 1984. (Roses In The Kansas Rain) When we, when we first met.. we were going out riding all the time, and laughing all the time. Everything, everything we did was fun and funny and later on it seemed like the things that made her happy once just didn't make her happy no more. She started staying in a lot, not talking.. and she started to hide my keys on me so I couldn't go out at night, and it got hard to make her understand.. that when I took the car out and when I won.. that it was the only time that I felt good about myself. And that to have just one thing, one thing in your whole life that you do, that makes you feel proud of yourself.. I dont think that´s too much for anybody to ask, is it ? I got a sixty-nine Chevy with a 396 Fuelie heads and a Hurst on the floor She's waiting tonight down in the parking lot Outside the Seven-Eleven store Me and my partner Sonny built her straight out of scratch And he rides with me from town to town We only run for the money got no strings attached We shut 'em up and then we shut 'em down Tonight, tonight the strip's just right I wanna blow 'em off in my first heat Summer's here and the time is right* For goin' racin' in the street* We take all the action we can meet And we cover all the northeast state When the strip shuts down we run 'em in the street From the fire roads to the interstate Some guys they just give up living And start dying little by little ...

This is the Northeast High School (Pinellas County, FL) Percussion Ensemble under the direction of Mr. Gregory Urban. For the 2009 State FBA Solo and Ensemble performance they performed Cop Drama by Jim Casella. What is Cop Drama, you might ask? Cop Drama is an homage to the groovy, retro sounds of classic American TV cop shows such as "SWAT," "The Mod Squad," and "The Streets of San Francisco." With a large ensemble of colorful sounds and stylized interpretation, Cop Drama is an enjoyable piece for medium to advanced percussion ensembles. A genre piece through and through, the rhythm section of guitar, keyboard, bass guitar, and drum set is the stylistic glue that keeps the mood intact. Combining the sounds of funky 70's cop rock, mysterious noir jazz, and modern themes in multiple meters.

Boston University goaltender Kieran Millan stole the show in the Terrier's 2-1 win over UNH, but it was senior forward Jason Lawrence giving BU the game winner with 15 seconds left on the power play. BU struck first, with freshman Corey Trivino putting home a shot that deflected out in front off his skates. UNH answered in the second period, dominating play, when Bobby Butler put home a rebound to tie the game 1-1. BU showed their strengths in the third period, but the Wildcat's suddenly stingy defense held them at bay until the final minute. BU senior Brandon Yip took charge and gained the zone alone and found Nick Bonino for an open shot, causing UNH sophomore James van Riemsdyk to take a penalty in order to prevent the scoring chance. That put BU on the power play, and Lawrence's initial shot was redirected off UNH goalie Brian Foster's pad onto the glove of the diving UNH defender and into the net to give BU the go ahead goal and the win.
The Terriers of BU trounced the Buckeyes by a 8-3 score. BU would take a 6-0 lead on goals by Nick Bonino, Zach Cohen, Corey Trivino, Brandon Yip, and two from Jason Lawrence. Ohio State mounted a short comeback attempt to make the game 6-3, but two empty net goals from Zach Cohen and Chris Higgins gave the Terriers the 8-3 victory. Kieran Millan got the win in net for the Terriers, who move on to face the UNH Wildcats in the regional final.

Two very friendly Humpback Whales provided the group with hours of awe and enjoyment. Dozens and dozens of breaches were performed by these magnificent and beautiful giants!!! Humpback Whales were once hunted to the brink of extinction. Due to their slow swimming and close association to shore, they were fairly easy targets for whalers. The worldwide population plummeted by approximately 90% (to less than 1500 individuals) before the hunting of humpbacks was banned in 1966. The current estimated population is now around 10-30000 individuals. The music is "Last of the Great Whales" by Solas.

A recent trip on Chicago's Tri-State Tollway. It was compressed from a 52-minute ride into 10 minutes (ha, like you could actually drive that fast in Chicago.) Anyways, enjoy. For those of you who don't live in or around Chicago, the Tri-State Tollway is one of the principal bypasses around the Chicago area (the other being the North-South Tollway.) The Tri-State was constructed from the mid to late 1950's, expecting growth from the Northern, Western, and Southern suburbs of Chicago. Today, the road also serves as a principal road for all road transportation entering Chicago from the Northeast to the northern Midwest. Interstate 80, a major linkage in the Interstate system, is part of the Tri-State for its first few miles before diverging towards northern Illinois towards the Quad Cities.
