This will be the second (and last for this year) Father's day cupcake. I saw a photo of a BBQ cake and then designed this cupcake, but then found "my" design on this website, not so original I guess, lol. familyfun.go.com They give alternatives to different kind of food in this one (pork chops, skewers) and they use chocolate icing with orange sprinkles to make the "coals". This is a good idea and I think was the missing "something" I was looking for. They also use a toothpick and make "grill marks" on the food with black food colour, I also wish I would have done this too! Apple Cupcake coming up tomorrow!

"Since it's Fathers Day I would like to put this out there. I know there are some men who aren't the best fathers. Some don't try at all. Why is it that on this day more and more women are thinking they deserve pats on the back.? They're not fathers. They're mothers. On Mothers Day you don't see men being praised for being single parents or whatever. Every woman with a child or children is usually given praise on Mothers Day although some of them are horrible examples of mothers. I would love some men to do better.......and I would love for some women to as well. I just want to understand why some are so quick to snatch Fathers Day away from men when some of the women are just bitter. Some are doing excellent parenting buy they don't take the place of the absent one. The child knows they're missing no matter what and that doesn't doom them forever. They can still be the best of the best. I'm a single parent and I want no one to tell me Happy Fathers Day because I'm not a father. But maybe there's something I'm missing as to why it makes sense. The day started like any other day, beautiful with birds chirping in the woods and just the smell of nature everywhere, did I mention it was starting to get hot and muggy. My buddy Todd (makton) and I agreed to hunt along the Illinois I&M Canal (Actually it was Todd's idea). Its no secret to think that in the canal construction process someone, somewhere along the line had to set down and take a lunch break, or had a hole in their pocket. Those are the kind of thoughts that compel you to go deep into the woods where you know your headphone or your search coil is going to get caught on some little twig or branch. I am sure most of you can relate. It can be frustrating when you have to duck and crawl your way through some areas because of how thick the brush is especially when you are 42.
