Part 1 of 10. This series consists of audio excerpts taken from a 12-hour made-for-video program that features lawyer Vincent Bugliosi, entitled "Absolutely 100% Guilty", which was produced in 1999 by Platinum Productions and released in a handsome 6-Tape VHS boxed set. (A shorter DVD version was also available for a limited time several years ago.) "Absolutely 100% Guilty" is really a video extension of Bugliosi's 1996 best-selling book ("Outrage") on the OJ Simpson murder case. These audio clips contain several of the final portions of the lengthy "Absolutely" program, wherein Mr. Bugliosi goes in front of a "jury" once again (albeit a "simulated" one) to tell us why OJ Simpson is as "guilty as sin" of murdering Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman on June 12, 1994. Part 1 of my series begins with a video clip of the jury's preposterous "Not Guilty" verdict as it was being revealed to millions of Americans on live television at the conclusion of Simpson's Los Angeles trial on October 3, 1995. Then Vincent T. Bugliosi takes over in 1999, and shows us what the prosecutors at Simpson's trial SHOULD have said to that jury four years earlier. ©1999 Platinum Productions ALL 10 PARTS: www.youtube.com RELATED LINKS: www.amazon.com www.amazon.com www.amazon.com www.Vincent-Bugliosi.blogspot.com

Johnnie Cochran OJ Simpson Trial
The now deceased brilliant lawyer Johnnie Cochran has a slip of the tongue while cameras are rolling during the murder trial of OJ Simpson. The issue of betrayal centers around whether Simpson was in a chauffeur driven limousine while his wife was alive and well talking to her mother on the phone at approximately 11 PM. The Juditha Brown telephone record evidence was removed secretly from Simpson's case file by one of the prosecutors in his trial and Johnnie Cochran knew and went along with this.

On October 3, 1995, an estimated 150 million people stopped what they were doing to witness the televised verdict of the OJ Simpson trial. For more than a year, the OJ saga transfixed the nation and dominated the public imagination. Ten years later, veteran FRONTLINE producer Ofra Bikel revisits the "perfect storm" that was the OJ Simpson trial. Through extensive interviews with the defense, prosecution and journalists, FRONTLINE explores the verdict -- which, more than any other in recent history, measured the difference between being white and black in America. www.pbs.org

LAS VEGAS - Former football star OJ Simpson has been sentenced to at least 15 years in prison for a botched attempt to recover sports mementos and personal items from two collectibles peddlers. He will be eligible for parole in six years. Simpson stood stone-faced when the judge rattled off his punishment after he pleaded with her that he didn't mean to steal from anybody when he tried to retrieve memorabilia. He appeared ready to break down in tears as he told her that he was "sorry and confused" before going into a rambling and emotional 5-minute declaration. Glass also ruled before sentencing that Simpson cannot be freed on bail pending possible appeal. In earlier proceedings, neither Simpson, who was acquitted of the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles, nor his co-defendant and former golfing buddy, Clarence "CJ Stewart, testified at trial. They were convicted Oct. 3 of 12 criminal charges, including kidnapping and armed robbery. Las Vegas Judge Jackie Glass rejected to his apology Friday and said, "It was much more than stupidity."
Simpson: 'I am sorry' OJ Simpson tells a Nevada judge he didn't mean to "hurt anybody or steal anything from anyone". Judge also denies bail pending appeal
LAS VEGAS - A broken OJ Simpson was sentenced Friday to as much as 33 years in prison for a hotel armed robbery after a judge rejected his apology and said, "It was much more than stupidity." The 61-year-old football Hall of Famer stood shackled and stone-faced as Judge Jackie Glass rattled off the punishment. Moments before, Simpson made a rambling, five-minute plea for leniency, simultaneously apologizing for the holdup as a foolish mistake and trying to justify his actions. He choked back tears as he told her: "I didn't want to steal anything from anyone. ... I'm sorry, sorry." Simpson said he was simply trying to retrieve sports memorabilia and other mementos, including his first wife's wedding ring, from two dealers when he stormed a Las Vegas hotel room on Sept. 13, 2007. But the judge emphasized that it was a violent confrontation in which at least one gun was drawn, and she said someone could have been shot. She said the evidence was overwhelming, with the planning, the confrontation itself and the aftermath all recorded on audio or videotape. Glass, a no-nonsense judge known for her tough sentences, imposed such a complex series of consecutive and concurrent sentences that even many attorneys watching the case were confused as to how much time Simpson got. Simpson could serve up to 33 years but could be eligible for parole after nine years, according to Elana Roberto, the judge's clerk. The judge said several times that her sentence in the Las Vegas case had ...

F. Lee Bailey, the legal prodigy from Massachusetts, put on a clinic during the OJ Simpson murder trial. The prosecutors Clark and Darden were simply out-lawyered. They lost despite a mountain of incriminating evidence against OJ -- his blood at the scene and the victims' blood in his car and home, for example, with no credible innocent explanation why. A tasteless poem surfaced on the Internet soon after the murder: "OJ didn't like bitches So he left her in stitches."
