Ten set's of families here. Why Angel Adams with 15 kids was giving a free home (rent free) all new wardrobe, medical/cash assistance and over a thousand dollars in food stamps and tax payers aren't bitching? But Nadya Suleman who was on food stamps and SSI wasn't giving a free home, new clothes and the public was so angry with her that they scared her off the system, hijack/vandalized her website, threw a car seat through her car window, flatten her car tire, wrapped her home with toilet tissue, send death threats by phone and letters, protested outside her home, tried to take her kids away, mocked her on the internet, made songs about her and called her all kinds of ugly names in the book? The Chukwu were the first Octuplets born in the US (1 died) they were giving a free home with make over, baby supplies, website set up for donations, yet no reality TV show? Postigo aren't from America and even though both parents work, they still receive Government assistance but no one cares? Gosselin, Hayes, Roloff, Duggar and Bates all white and they get to live in mansions, have a reality TV show to support their large brood, driving around in luxury vehicles and traveling places. Hm... What's wrong with this picture?

In an interview broadcast Tuesday on "The Oprah Winfrey Show," Suleman told Winfrey she never wanted more than six or seven children, "not double that." Suleman already had six children when she gave birth to the octuplets six boys and two girls in January 2009. Nadya Suleman, Nadya Suleman Oprah, Octomom, Octomom Oprah, Oprah

(Gattaca Movie- Columbia Pictures) Hello, I'm Charlotte Bellis, and you're watching Newsy.com. www.newsy.com In 1997, the movie Gattica imagined a world where parents could custom-design their babies. Today, the idea is almost a reality with Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis—or PGD. PGD technology allows doctors to screen embryos for a variety of genetic traits. Now a Los Angeles clinic is offering the technology to allow parents to select the sex, hair and eye color of their babies. Heres what the Fertility Institutes advertise on their website Girl or boy the Fertility Institutes, the worlds largest 100% self-selection program, is now helping to make that dream come, with near perfect certainty, for thousands of parents. Los Angeles police say they will investigate death threats against octuplet mother Nadya Suleman. Word that the 33-year-old single, unemployed mom is receiving public assistance to care for her 14 children has stoked furor among many people. (Feb. 12)
Okay...I have been watching all of the interviews and things about Nadya Suleman of California. Here are some of the facts so far: 1.) She is 33 years old and unemployed; 2.) She draws disability income for her injured back; 3.) She draws welfare money for her three disabled children; 4.) She lives with her aging parents who are the sole custodial parents for her six older children--she hasn't given them a dime to help with the costs of raising these children; 5.) She plans to go back to school to get her Master's degree in Counseling--where is she going to get the money to do this? College costs money, Nadya. 6.) She is now hosting a website in order to solicit online donations. Donors can use virtually any credit card or their paypal account. Huh...I thought she was going to do it all "on her own." Finally...I read an article in my local newspaper that says that California will be footing the bill for Nadya's 14 children. WHAT??!! It's funny--just today, someone asked me if I'm married(and I have been asked if I have children many times now by various people). My answer: I want to have children, but I want to wait until I am financially able to raise them well. I am also looking for the right man to help me to do this. I'm already 29, so I can't wait too much longer, but I am willing to wait.

This video discusses how Nadya Suleman's reproductive irresponsibility is costing taxpayers in the United States millions of dollars. Nadya Suleman had six children between the ages of two and seven before she decided that she would artificially inseminate herself with eight embryos simultaneously at a fertility clinic via in-vitro fertilization. She now is the mother of fourteen children and she already requires assistance from her mother in taking care of her first six children before she decided to begin the process of in-vitro fertilization and simultaneously implant eight embryos into her body. Her fertility docor is apparently under investigation. "For a single mother, the cost of raising 14 children through age 17 ranges from $1.3 million to $2.7 million through age 17, according to the US Department of Agriculture. The Suleman octuplets medical costs have not been disclosed, but the average cost for just one cesarean birth in 2006 was $22762 in California. The Suleman babies were born nine weeks premature. In California, a single premature birth in 2006 led to an average hospital stay of 25 days and cost $164273. That would amount to a $1.3 million bill for eight. Add this to the 1.3 to 2.7 million figure for raising the kids, assuming no unexpected teenage pregnancies or other unpredicted expenses, and youll get a whopping $2.6 to $4 million bill for the fourteen.

Nadya Suleman of California recently gave birth to octuplets after successful IVF treatment. She had six children already. Suleman sat down to speak with Ann Curry on the Today Show. This is a preview and discussion of the interview. The full interview will air Monday 2/9/2009.
Join Nadya Suleman - Octuplets Mother Facebook group http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=49231218285 A Californian single mother-of-six who recently gave birth to octuplets has spoken for the first time about her desire to have a "huge" family. In excerpts from a TV interview yet to be broadcast, Nadya Suleman said she wanted to make up for the loneliness she felt growing up as an only child. Ms Suleman, 33, also defended her decision to conceive her children through in vitro fertilisation (IVF). The case has sparked a debate over the ethics of her treatment. "That was always a dream of mine, to have a large family, a huge family" - Nadya Suleman Fertility experts have raised concerns about the number of embryos implanted that resulted in the octuplets' birth, and questioned whether the procedure met medical guidelines. Ms Suleman, whose six older children are aged two to seven, said that all 14 of her children were conceived through IVF with sperm donated by a friend. Investigation Speaking to NBC's Today Show, due to be broadcast next week, Ms Suleman defended her decision to conceive by IVF. "I took a risk. It's a gamble. It always is," she said. "A lot of couples, usually it's couples, do undergo this procedure and it's not as controversial because they are couples so it's more acceptable to society. "All I wanted was children. I wanted to be a mom. That's all I ever wanted in my life. I love my children." - Nadya Suleman "For me, I feel as though I've been under the microscope because I've chosen this unconventional kind of life. I didn't intend on it being unconventional, just it turned out to be," she added. Asked about her background as a single child, she said: "All I wanted was children. I wanted to be a mom. That's all I ever wanted in my life. I love my children. "That was always a dream of mine, to have a large family, a huge family. "I just longed for certain connections and attachments with another person that... I really lacked, I believe, growing up." She said she had tried for seven years to get pregnant before finally conceiving through IVF. "From that facility, it was successful. And then I just kept going in," she said. Asked whether she had considered reducing the number of embryos that had successfully implanted, she replied: "Oh no. Sometimes we have that dream and that passion, and we take risks. And I did and it turned out perfectly." A huge team was needed to deliver the octuplets successfully Ms Suleman's eight babies were delivered nine weeks early by Caesarean section in a hospital near Los Angeles on 26 January. All are reported to be doing well. The facility, the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower, California, has said it was not involved in the octuplets' conception. The California Medical Board has begun an investigation into whether there was a "violation of the standard of care" in the case. The American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) recommends that women of Ms Suleman's age have no more than two embryos implanted. Fertility experts have pointed to a lack of regulation in the field and called for professional organisations to put stricter rules in place for doctors and clinics. Multi-birth pregnancies come with a heightened risk of premature birth and health risks for the mother and the babies. --------- Discuss issues and videos on the For Freedom Forums http://scot.bravehost.com/youtubecomment.htm Americans really need to read this webpage in particular - "Attention Americans! US woman has given birth to eight babies, becoming just the second person recorded in the US to have delivered a set of living octuplets. The six boys and two girls, who were nine weeks premature, were delivered by Caesarean section in the hospital in Los Angeles, California. The babies weighed in at between 1lb 8 ounces (820g) and 3lb 4oz (1.47kg) and are all said to be doing well. They were screaming and kicking around very vigorously, a doctor said. The mother, whose identity has not been revealed, has asked that limited information be released about the births. A hospital spokeswoman described the deliveries, which took place in the space of five minutes, as "truly amazing". The medical team had scheduled a Caesarean section for seven babies, but doctors were surprised when an eighth came out. "Lo and behold, after we got to Baby G, which is what we expected, we were surprised by Baby H," said Dr Karen Maples. Three of the babies needed help breathing, but all were otherwise doing well, a doctor said. The babies will be in incubators for at least six weeks and the mother is planning to breast feed them all, the hospital officials said. The world's first live-born set of octuplets were delivered in Houston, Texas, in 1998.
