eXtraDICTION speedwiz is a game of vocabulary, quick thinking and strategy. If you are a Scrabble enthusiast, you might find eXtraDICTION quite an addiction. So, be warned! In eXtraDICTION speedwiz you are given ten letters at the start of the game. Use each of these letters as the first letter of the 10 words you have to place on the board to score as many points as possible. The game board is a grid of squares, 11 columns x 11 rows. Each square has a value of 1, 2, 3, 5 or 10. The square values are colour-coded for easy reference. The board is also divided into zones. The score for the word is the value of the squares occupied by the word multiplied by the number of zone the word occupies. Rules for placement of words on the game board are similar to Scrabble where new words can intersect or adjoin existing ones on the board. However, in eXtraDICTION you can also float your words, that is, neither intersect nor adjoin existing words. The disadvantage of floating words is that you do not multiply the square values by the number of zones for your word score. The object of the game is to create words by selecting adjacent lettered tiles in correct order on the game board. The words must be at least three letters and no more than eight letters. Each tile is initially worth 10 points, and the number of points (shown at the bottom of the tile) increases each time the tile is used. You receive bonuses for creating longer words.
