A who's who of celebrities have surprised Oprah Winfrey during a farewell double-episode taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The chat show queen wiped away tears as a plethora of A-list stars walked on stage at the packed United Center in Chicago. Beyonce, Tom Cruise, Madonna, Will Smith and Tom Hanks were among those who paid tribute to the billionairess whose show is set to end after 25 years on the air.
Oprah is trending as her last show approaches. The Oprah Winfrey Show is in its 25th and final season, more than 30 years and roughly 5000 episodes after its inception. The finale was taped at Chicago's United Center with appearances by approximately 90 percent of all A-list celebrities, including Jerry Seinfeld, Will Smith, Aretha Franklin, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Usher, Maya Angelou, Michael Jordan, etc., etc. as well as performances by Madonna and Beyonce. Maria Shriver was also at the taping and took an apparent jab at Arnold Schwarzenegger by praising Oprah for always giving her "the truth." O's final show will air on May 25.

Oprah was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by her single mother and never knew her dad. Her life has come under scrutiny in new tell-all book Oprah: A Biography, with writer Kitty Kelley alleging to know the real identity of the father of the star. Noah Robinson, 84, a Second World War veteran, came forward earlier this month claiming he is the star's dad - and alleged he had requested a DNA test from Winfrey last year 09. Oprah Winfrey was left fuming at the claims, telling the audience at The New York Women in Communications Matrix Awards on Monday Apr 19, 10, "New daddies are saying, 'Hello daughter, call me, I need a new roof.'"
