A few years ago when I arrived in Pune I gathered a few friends together in the German Bakery to sing a song I had written called International Love. I was anyway about to go off shooting a film about the subject of love. It was a beautiful, special and slightly surreal moment, all the more poignant coz of recent events and the message in the song. Ironic in a way. Well I just found the footage and thought I'd put it up here to go with the other little film I had done. It's low quality, especially the sound, but I hope something of the essence and intention is conveyed.

osho.com The 2009/2010 winter season is in full swing at the OSHO International Meditation Resort in Pune, India. Thousands of people from more than 100 countries are currently visiting and participating in the meditation activities offered all day. ... this place here has gone far beyond being a commune. The commune was an alternative society. But it has its own organization, its own rules, regulations. Seeing that for misfits it will be difficult to be part of even a commune, I have dropped the idea of a commune too. Here there is no permanent residentship. As long as you feel good, you can be here. Now I want this place just to be a paradise a holiday resort where you can relax, have a massagesoon there will be swimming pools, larger gardens and lawns. You can play on your instruments whenever you want, at whatever time you want. You can do your own thing. Just remember that your thing should not be an interference in somebody elses life structure, because he also wants to be independent, just as you do. ... this is simply a gathering of all kinds of misfit people who cannot fit anywhere else. Here they can celebrate their misfitness without losing respect and honor and dignity. Osho from The Hidden Splendor, #21

Seriousness is a disease, the greatest disease of the soul, and playfulness the greatest health." - Osho This is an excerpt from a series of OSHO Talks titled "Yahoo - The Mystic Rose", in which Osho develops the OSHO MYSTIC ROSE, one of his meditative therapies. We have added some sub-titles as a lot of the words disappear in the ongoing laughter.

Osho Rajneesh, also known as Swami Rajneesh, is a disciple of Osho, who stayed in the ashram during 1980s. During that period, he rarely interacted with anyone and mostly used to sit in silence and meditate for hours at a time. One unique thing about him is that his gestures, the way he talks, how he moves his hands, the way he walks all resemble Osho's gestures and movements. If you have never seen Osho and would like to know how Osho used to talk in real life, then watch Osho Rajneesh. Osho Rajneesh is heavily criticized as just imitating the Master. I would like to make it very clear that an unenlightened person cannot make any judgment about someones (state of) enlightenment. (Osho's words) My suggestion is: drink the Silence and the Truth in his words and feel what it does for you! www.oshorajneesh.net

Hey, if you find yourself in Pune in India The German Bakery is a MUST visit place. Lots of locals and foreigners, and close to the Osho Resort. I ended up there almost every day that I was in Pune! Enjoy, the divine juices and the fresh organic food is fantastic, cheap and good quality (oh and a welcome break from curries!) And if you've been there tell me what you think!
OSHO International Foundation - www.osho.com Although 3000 of Osho's original Hindi talks are available in audio format, only a very small number of his talks in Hindi language have been recorded in video format before he changed to the English language. The text below is not the translation of what he says in this video, but a statement by him about speaking in Hindi "...and certainly every master has to speak to the people who are available. That's why many people are surprised those who understand both English and Hindi are surprised because in Hindi I say one thing and in English I say something else, because my people are different. In English I am speaking to a different kind of psychology. It is not only a question of language. When I am speaking Hindi, I am speaking to a different psychology. I am not speaking to walls, I am speaking to people; I am responding. And sometimes I change myself so much, because my message has to be personal. When I am talking to you, I am talking to you; I have forgotten the whole world. Now, whatsoever I am saying to you, I am saying only to you. It may be relevant to other people, it may not be. This is a personal message." - Osho OSHO International Foundation - www.osho.com

This earth, this life is an opportunity to become so alert, so sensitive, so harmonious, that you can start feeling joy everywhere, and you can feel the dance of existence - not only feeling it but becoming part of the dance; you dissolve yourself into it" osho

They came from all over the world to this Ashram in India to "find themself". Indian Guru Shree Rajneesh, called Bhagwan fed them a mixture of Eastern philosophy and Western New Age psychotherapie. The most attractive message to the young Western visiters was: sex is good. But nothing was free. Every lecture, every "wisdom" had to be paid. But it was a wonderful, magical place nevertheless. The money was flowing in and the "advisers" to the old Guru became greedy and arrogant. 100 Rolls Royces were given to him. The end came of it all came at their exile in Oregon. Photographed on assignment for German magazine QUICK in 1979 in India and again in 1982 in Oregon.
