Today (15 February 2010) about 2000 strength force was deployed into Osmania University which is Ground Zero of Telangana Movement in Hyderabad, to suppress the students from holding rallies in the city and suppress media from reporting it. In the afternoon additional paramilitary forces, rapid action force, CRPF, Greyhounds, (with their armoury, helmet, shoes, extra body armour, guns, lathis (batons)) were deployed to stop OU students from taking any action who did not have any armour, guns, shoes, not even sticks but only stones on the ground to protect themselves. Also attacked were the media reporters (ones head was beaten to bloodshed) and their cameras were also destroyed, their pulsar bikes, equipment vans were set on fire. Incidents in Osmania University have reached their peak on 15 February with additional forces deployed into Ground Zero (Osmania University Campus in Tarnaka Hyderabad) of Telangana Movement. The police who attacked students brutally just because students pelted stones (which itself has its own conspiracy that police in civil dress pelt stones to start disturbance), also attacked girl students by pulling their hair, throwing them on ground, and beating with sticks. Osmania University has seen bloodshed on the night of valentines day (14 February 2010). Police went on a rampant attack on students who started rally in support of resignation of peoples representatives. The Khakhis (who wear Khakhi color dress) have shown their power on OU students. The students were beaten to death wherever they were visible in the night of 14 Feb 2010. Many students including OU Students JAC leader Kumaraswamy were injured in the incident. Even media reporters were attacked by police so that blood came out of their bodies. Many reporters and cameramen of several media including HMTVs, were injured in the incident. Cameras were broken down. As the video shows the Arts College in Tarnaka OU main campus was surrounded, fortified and students in the college imprisoned by police. All of a sudden the OU campus resemble a police station or a prison (jail). Some students were showing the injury on their hands. Andhra Pradesh Police are committing treacherous atrocities on Telangana people and students. Yesterday and todays incidents in and around Osmania University are the proof of this. To avoid media from showing this AP Police have attacked the media directly. They burned the vehicles like pulsar, camera equipment vans etc. of press people. Any vehicle that has a sticker of press was attacked by police. Some vehicles are set on fire by the Police. Police who should protect the people are attacking them like this and to add to their atrocities above that they are even attacking the press persons. They are damaging the reporters camera. What we see in this video is a reporter from Sakshi whose head was broken by the police (Tala pagalagottaru polisulu), even when he mentioned that he was a press person and not a student in the Osmania University Campus. The police also damaged the cameras of press people. Because of this media is afraid of going to the ground zero (OU campus in Tarnaka) of Telangana movement. And thus we cannot even know what is happening there. In the nights police have cut off electricity to the campus so that no other friends or relatives of these people can enter to help them who were lathi charged (baton charged) by the police.
