So it seems Oprah is starting OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in January 2011. Think it will be interesting or horrible? What would you expect to see (I imagine it will be similar to O magazine). I'm wondering if it will own or pwn (pown)? I did a video actually 3 years ago that was quite sour on Oprah. Since then she's grown on me a bit, even if she's rather overexposed and the show is cringe worthy sometimes. I like that she led me to Eckart Tolle and some other authors. Parenthetically this aint me pitching myself to Oprah because I've sincerely learned that the pursuit of "old media" (television) is not attractive to me, and I shall relegate me appearing on HDTV to GoogleTV. :) I finally figured out how to get my Panasonic Lumix DH1 to take half decent videos... seems my kids and I had turned all the settings to crap. This picture quality is half decent isn't it? (after it compresses). Not as cool as charlieissocoollike's new killer camera, but I try. What do you use? Tom & Jerry Kids is an animated television series, featuring the famous cat-and-mouse duo as children. The show premiered on September 8, 1990 and continued airing until October 2, 1993. It is one of only two Hanna-Barbera shows (alongside spin-off Droopy, Master Detective) to air in first-run on the Fox Kids lineup on FOX and on Cartoon Network's Tickle U. The series is about the adventures of Tom Cat and Jerry Mouse in their childhood and their friends Droopy & Dripple and Spike & Tyke. The series is somewhat similar to the "older" version of the classic 114 theatricals, partly akin to being produced by Tom and Jerry creators Joseph Barbera and William Hanna. Tea Party Movie Exec. Producer talks about his film with David Asman on Fox's "America's Nightly Scoreboard" This was truly a grassroots TV effort as Livingston arrived at the Atlanta Fox Bureau studio finding it closed and no one there! As show producers in NY scrambled to get crew to show up, Livingston convinced the security guard to open the studio offices in hopes crew would arrive in time. As the clock ticked down to his segment's "hit time", Livingston took matters into his own hands by turning on the studio's work lights, hooking up his own mic, earpiece and taking a seat in front of the camera, which was already "hot" to the NY control room. Sitting alone in the studio Livingston waited, hoping that crew would arrive to turn on the studio lights. Oprah Winfrey's talk show, a national institution in America, will end in 2011, her production company said on Thursday. "The Oprah Winfrey Show", one of the TV industry's biggest money-makers and the top-rated US daytime talk show, will end on Sept 9, 2011 after its 25th season on air, according to Chicago-based Harpo Productions Inc. Winfrey, 55, is regarded as one of the most influential opinion-makers in the United States, and this year was No 45 on Forbes magazine's list of the world's most powerful people. She is believed to be giving up the show - which has averaged 7.1 million viewers this year - to concentrate on her own cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN,) which is due to broadcast from Jan 2011. It will be based in Los Angeles and will reach 70 million American homes. Winfrey will give more details of her reasons live on air on Friday's show. Over the years, Winfrey placed Chicago into the national spotlight. In September, she drew more than 20000 fans to a taping of her show on Michigan Avenue. A tearful Winfrey was in Chicago's Grant Park as Barack Obama was elected president. She also lobbied for Chicago's failed bid to host the 2016 Olympics, travelling to Denmark in an attempt to woo members of the International Olympic Committee to vote for her hometown.
