Well, here is your Pandoras box: Nothing is simple. Do I favor illegal immigration? Yesif, Im desperate enough to risk detention or abuse, and if I can no longer feed my family by abiding the law. Military service is honorable- in some cases, it provides for our physical security. We have been told for years that "The Troops are fighting to protect our rights and freedoms." A legitimate and honest foreign policy would be easy for people to understand- it wouldnt need to be propped up or embellished with talk of defending our rights and freedoms, etc. Think of your local fire dept.- it serves a clear-cut purpose, no need for people to repeat phrases or slogans in order to justify its existence.
