We live in the eastern part of Yorba Linda. The fire broke out to the east of us in Corona. Within about 3 hours, it had roared down the Santa Ana River bed, which is about two hundred yards from the front door of our condo. It also burned to the north of us. While we were basically surrounded by fire, it never burned into our complex (although an apartment complex directly across the canyon did burn down in Anaheim Hills). While we were getting ready to evacuate, I ran down the street and started shooting footage of the River. The last part of the video is shot from our upstairs balcony, looking across Santa Ana Canyon towards Anaheim Hills. My converstation during this sequence will sound very disconnected because I'm simulataneously talking with my family on the phone.
