Notes for part three: Parts 1-2 are alright but I think this is where things start to pick up in quality. Up until part six or so, it was all shot in order, so the learning process was pretty steep, but I think the improvements are obvious. Note the two student film cliches I got out of the way; a pissing scene and, coming up, needless cussing. It breaks the tone, we thought it was funny. In the summer before my senior year of high school, I set out to make a feature-length zombie film. Project: Write and create a scene out of a film that doesn't exist. Our "film": A monster movie in which shadowbeasts invade the world. Flatmates Steve and Tim find themselves having to sort of their differences in order to survive. Scene: Tim's new friend Dave has just been killed by one of the shadow beasts, and Tim and Steve are now hiding in their bathroom, tensions running high. We all pitched in to write and direct this, though Matthew ended up doing the main writing and I ended up doing the storyboards (compositions) and editing (with Emma and Matt present for most of it, so it wasn't all me deciding on editing.)
