It was produced and engineered by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Grizzly Bear) Beach House, Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand, have been playing music forever, each since childhood in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and France . Beach House formed in the summer, it was very late at night and there was a lot of heat. Their songs start simple and grow organically like tiny skeletons that multiply layers of necessary flesh. In the Beach House world, outside influences have been purely atmospheric. This is my dream cast for movies based on the "House of Night" books by PC and Kristin Cast. CHECK OUT VIDEO RESPONSES FOR MORE OF THE DREAM CAST (THE HEFFERS, KALONA, AND SISTER MARY ANGELA) These actors all come reasonably close to how I imagined the characters in my mind as I read the books. Please understand that this is most definitely a "dream" cast, and that I am fully aware of the fact that some of these actors would pretty much have zero interest in doing a House of Night movie (Angelina and Naomi come to mind). Additionally, I know that actors from the CW show "Smallville" are overrepresented in the dream cast, I know that some of the actors seem *way* too old to be playing high school age kids (yeah, I'm talking about Tom Welling), I know that some of the actors may not fit the character descriptions in the books *exactly*, and I know that people will have issues with my dream cast because everyone sees characters from books differently in their heads. Nevertheless, this is my ideal cast for movies based on the House of Night books, and I hope y'all like it!
