www.johnsendelbach.com Artist Statement:Art is for the mind of the beholder. So, ever the iconoclast, I'll let you figure it out yourself. Artist Biography In 1966, on the 62nd birthday of Salvador Dali, a child was born in a red Plymouth Valiant in front of Buffalo's Mercy Hospital. The youngest of four, John Sendelbach had entered the world amidst global unrest and social awakening. With early memories of the ceasefire in Viet Nam, his formative years in the seventies were spent playing in the woods, fields and creeks of Orchard Park. During these halcyon days of Schwinn Stingrays, Hotwheels, treeforts and bicentennial firecrackers, John was strongly influenced by his first generation father, a sheetmetal contractor and draughtsman, and the many tools available around the house. He showed an early propensity for creation, always tinkering with model cars, chopper bicycles and motorless gocarts, as well as making award winning models of the White House and the Eiffel tower. Excellence in classwork and atheletics in his early years, gave way to an interest in popular music and cosmic explorations in his teens. Buying his first album in eighth grade, Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", ameliorated his earlier influences of the likes of Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Deep Purple. A serendipidous discovery of the Grateful Dead in 1983 forever changed his world view, and led to a near fanatical following of the band for the next 15 years. In his early twenties, John began ...

I want to discuss something about Gun spinning. it's absolutely pointless. In reality, if you face off against someone, and start spinning your gun, you are likely to be shot, either by the other guy or by yourself. I use two Replicated Colt Single Action Army revolvers. for all you people who don't want to see someone talking, here's the point where the spinning starts. 0:40 I'm far from a professional, I know that, and if you want to see a real pro; www.youtube.com or if you want to see the man who made me interested in Revolvers: www.youtube.com i really hope you can stand the God awful sound and my accent. Heres a virtual movie of the great John Keats (1795 - 1921) reading his much loved sonnet "Bright Star" . This famous sonnet was written by Keats in Joseph Severn's copy of The Poetical Works of William Shakespeare opposite the poem 'A Lover's Complaint'. Because it was written during Keats and Severn's voyage to Italy, many people (including Severn) believed it be Keats's last poem. It was actually titled 'Keats's Last Sonnet' by Milnes in his 1848 biography of Keats. However, careful studies by biographers / critics have dated its composition to spring 1819. It was first published in a newspaper in 1838, seventeen years after Keats's death. "Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art" is the first line of a sonnet by John Keats that was first published in The Plymouth and Devonport Weekly Journal in 1838. Keats had previously inscribed it into Joseph Severn's copy of Shakespeare's Poems, opposite "A Lover's Complaint" on September 28, 1820. Keats and Severn were travelling along the Dorset coastline aboard the Maria Crowther en route to Italy and Severn would always believe that Keats had composed it specially for him. Although it was long thought to be Keats's last poem, it is now thought to have been written between February and April of 1819. Colvin believed it to have been in the last week of February 1819, immediately after Keats' engagement to Fanny Brawne. Addressed to a star (presumably Polaris), the sonnet expresses the poet's wish to be as constant as the ...
In a Sept. 15 St. Louis Park City Council primary, Ward 4 voters picked Julia Ross and Bill Theobald to continue on to the Nov. 3 general election. Candidate Thomas Peterson was eliminated through the Ward 4 primary. In an unofficial tally, Ross gained 170 votes, Theobald 116 and Peterson 21 votes. The City Council made the results official in its capacity as a canvassing board Sept. 21. The other wards did not have three or more candidates, the amount of candidates that prompts a primary. Principal Jeff Zastrow congratulated Birch Grove Elementary School students who won awards at local fairs this past summer. Sommer Blakemore and Cheyenne Kaliher received merit awards for their seed art at the state fair, Ebony Owens won third place for her paper mache pink flamingo at the Hennepin County Fair. Addie Jolivette received first place for her drawing at the Hennepin County Fair and second place at the Anoka County Fair. Family Day activities and collections for local food shelves will be featured at the New Hope Farmers Market, which is 8 am-1 pm Saturday, Sept. 26. Please note: I find the death photos of Neda too sad, thus there are no violent images in this video. In fact, there is only one image: an original piece by me based on a photo harvested from the Internet. God works in mysterious ways. Some say Neda wasn't directly involved in Iran's protest movement. She was a beautiful young Iranian woman who loved philosophy, music and poetry by Rumi and Robert Frost. Neda dreamed of a peace-filled world where all people would live in freedom, without fear. A bullet fired on a Tehran street instantaneously created an international symbol for justice and human rights -- Neda. Be the change you wish to see in the world. I am Neda. Are you?
