So, I re-made my Pocahontas - spirits are calling my name - video, cause the last one I made was not good, but I still like the idea with this pocahontas to this song, It's not full leinth thou, sorry for that. Enjoy!
Swedish audio, I tried to look for a english text version, but I couldn't find any, so I hope youre okey with that... I own this music and I've paid for it! This is the metal version of Roger Pontares song "När vindarna viskar mitt namn", made by a band called Hammerfall.
You think I'm an ignorant savage And you've been so many places I guess it must be so But still I cannot see If the savage one is me How can there be so much that you don't know? You don't know ... You think you own whatever land you land on The Earth is just a dead thing you can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn things you never knew you never knew Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountains? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Come run the hidden pine trails of the forest Come taste the sunsweet berries of the Earth Come roll in all the riches all around you And for once, never wonder what they're worth The rainstorm and the river are my brothers The heron and the otter are my friends And we are all connected to each other In a circle, in a hoop that never ends How high will the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains We need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the Earth and still All you'll own is Earth until You can paint with all ...
My Entry for Lookattheview90's „Disney After Dark Contest". I so don't stand a chance. Ahh, anyway. UPDATE: I see the quality is killed again. I know i made some mistakes in there I couldn't fix, but it looks way better on my computer. So sorry, please ignore the bad-quality-parts in the refrain mostly. ^_^ I should start with the Story i suppose :D --So, Clayton and Colonel are brothers.-------Whaaaa! Hold on ! Hah, now a question for you: Did you ever realize that the Colonel from 'Spirit' has no name? DID YA?! CAUGHT YA ! XD Crazy, he is nameless...------- Ehh, yes. Well, Clayton is kind of sexist, and Colonel isn't better, he loves to hurt people. Especial shoot them. So, they discover a new world, where they meet pretty bitchy Pocahontas.-------yes, i am very nice, i ruin all your sweet disney characters! :p ----------Well, Colonel wants to shoot her (of course!) but Clayton keeps him calm. -------I can't believe i haven't seen a vid with them together before. They are so perfect as brothers!-------- And so Miss Pocahontas (who is very bitchy!) and Clayton begin some kind of relationship. ---After the 1st Refrain--- Colonel doesn't like Pocaontas and argues a lot with Clayton. But Clayton is always like: „Blahbalh...you overreact...blahblah...it's nothing...blah !" And then, when Clayton spends waaaaaay more time with Pocahontas than with Colonel, he goes crazy. He begins to hunt Pocahontas, and she runs away. Then she accidental kills him -----maybe this doesn't ...

Note: My old Youtube-account was deleted so I'm back to scratch which means a lot of hard work. For Hannah (xroseheartx) only: 1- High soprano as you can hear, but I can change my voice very much depending on the song! 2- I'm open to it all. I love challenge! 3- Danish, english, arabic, italian, norwegian, german and russian (but not so much russian) 4- I would like to be a part of this group because I always wanted to make a group like this myself, but I never managed to do so. I also want to develope my singing since my dream is to become a singer/voice actress. I would love to participate in classical songs since I want to become an operasinger. But I am, like I said before, open to do anything! Just not heavy metal. I refuse to scream! lol My 100% own version of the danish version. I did not try to sound like the original. The original already exists so why even do it? I hope I did the song justice though, because it's the most beautiful song ever! The reason why I chose to use this for skyggepigen's contest is that this song means more to me than any other disney song. I am a vegetarian and I do believe animals should be equal with humans. My anti specism life style is reflected in this song "every creature has a life, has a spirit, has a name" Being a vegetarian was the best choise I have ever made. But not only does this song present my animal rights cause, but also how we treat nature and how we treat other. The part where she sings "You think you own whatever ...
So I´m finally done with this! XD Yay, took me forever... Did not turn out exactly as I wanted it to but it´s okay ;) So there is a story to this... But I think you can get most of it anyways. I´ll make the story as short as possible and only consentrated on the most important stuff. The rest you have to figure out yourselfs ;) Hope you like it! Story: Pocahontas and Kayley are best friends. They meet one day in the forrest, Kayley was lost and fell down a cliff. Pocahontas lived in the forrest and had never really had anyone but herself before, so at first she was scared but later on she began to warm up to Kayley. When they became friends Kayley was all Pocahontas had. One day a horrible man came into Kaleys home (where Pocahontas now spent most of her time too). His name was Rupert and he seemed familiar to Pocahontas. He wanted Pocahontas help to try out an experiment... Rupert had always been obsessed with finding the "perfect weapon" to help him get more powerfull. He wanted Pocahontas to be that weapon... He had a new way to give people special powers and make them stronger and more intelligent. He showed Pocahontas how powerfull she could be if she agreed to this. He already had a testsubject... Rupert was so hypnotised by his new found power that he did not even noticed when Pocahontas escaped. When he sees that she is gone he sends his new weapon after her. Pocahontas did not get far until The new weapon (Kida) catched up with her. But Kida could not capture ...

song/lyrics - (C) Disney Pocahontas (c. 1595 March 21, 1617[2]) was a Native American woman who married an Englishman, John Rolfe, and became a celebrity in London in the last year of her life. She was a daughter of Wahunsunacawh (also known as Chief or Emperor Powhatan), who ruled an area encompassing almost all of the tribes in the Tidewater region of Virginia (called Tenakomakah at the time). Her formal names were Matoaka (or Matoika) and Amonute[3]; Pocahontas was a childhood nickname referring to her frolicsome nature (in the Powhatan language it meant "little wanton", according to William Strachey[4]). After her baptism, she went by the name Rebecca, becoming Rebecca Rolfe on her marriage. (C) Wikipedia

Pocahontas' (Q'Orianka Kilcher) and John Smith (Colin Farrell). To sing the the story of our land. We see her, reaching up to the sky. After a title sequence, over which nature sounds are heard, we see a shot of Native Americans swimming underwater, Pocahontas and her brother, as others on the shore point to something. Three ships come into view, and a title tells us this is Virginia, 1607. Aboard the one of the ships we see Captain Newport giving instructions, as others look out at the new world. In the brig is Captain Smith, who catches fresh water on his face. As Captain Smith explores the land alone, Captain Newport decides to stay where they are. He warns the settlers not to disturb or anger the Natives, because they may need to trade with them. He says once they are settled, they will go north to find a route to the other sea. The Natives encounter the settlers for the first time, sniffing them. The settlers show some trepidation. Pocahontas and her brother watch from a distance. In voice over, Smith says they are kind and timid. Newport, worried about a native attack, orders them English to sleep aboard their ships, and instructs them to start building a fort in the morning. Slackers, he says, will be whipped. He warns them that they are not there to pillage, but to start a new colony. As they build a fort, the Natives watch them in puzzlement, and try to communicate with them. Pocahontas and her brother dance in the fields, and, when she is alone, Smith sees her ...

~*Read Me*~ PLEASE WATCH IN HQ! This is entered in 101mascaratears101's AU Contest! I kept it 97% Pocahontas rather than Beauty and the Beast =] Color/black and white - present Red lettering - indicates you can't see the person in frame yet Orange lettering - John speaking I'm sorry for all the random flashes -.- It's the stupid WMM that does that. If you'd notice, the flashes are from another part of the video, so it's not like I can really cut them out. STORYLINE: So, the reason for the beginning will remain pretty much a secret until the end of the video. When you see Pocahontas following John, it's because he was wandering in the woods, and she decides to watch him. He sees her, and then decides to follow her back. He introduces himself, but then she has to leave. He asks to go with her, and she says okay. Pocahontas brings John to her village, and they're wary at first, but then they accept him. Except Kocoum, who doesn't trust him. One night (this is a while after he's staying with them), John and Pocahontas meet up. He says he needs to leave, and she argues with him and then she runs off. But then he turns into a werewolf (played by the Beast!) out of anger (if you're familiar with the werewolves in Twilight, then it's pretty much the same thing with that. John tries not to phase at all, but it happens when he's angry, or he's in trouble) and follows her. John then realizes that he could hurt her, and phases back. He catches up with her, and asks her not to tell ...
Finally! The fourth part is done... and this will probably be the only video you see from me in a while as my computer has broken down yet again... I will however be able to upload a WMM vid with the results of my two contests within the next week, I hope so at least. This video is from the early days of my Sony Vegas days, so bear with me if there are any odd places.. The plot is pretty simple, but I'll explain the main points to you: Pocahontas has returned to Virginia from England, but this is unknown to Tarzan, who has decided to travel across the Atlantic and bring Pocahontas back. Therefore he goes to a house of the newcomers to pick up some clothes, while Pocahontas searches for him. Throughout the night she hears the terrible news - he has boarded a ship. So she runs to stop him, but is too late. Tarzan has already left the shore, so instead she runs after him and shouts his name, but Tarzan believes it to be a faint memory at first, until he sees her. Both jump into the water and finally reunite on the beach. Unfortunately one of the English men sees this and shoots Tarzan. He is deadly injured, so in the end Pocahontas gets to say her goodbye.. Crappy ending, I realise that, but this is not the final part, at least I hope not. It all depends on so much. THIS VIDEO IS PURELY FAN-MADE AND IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THE MUSICAL ARTIST OR ANIMATION COMPANY.

If you cut it down, then you'll never know And you'll never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon For whether we are white or copper skinned We need to sing with all the voices of the mountains We need to paint with all the colors of the wind You can own the Earth and still All you ...

(and yes, i know this is a shorter version, and an easier version) and i know there are different versions os this song, but this is the version by Alan Menken (music), and Stephen Schwartz (lyrics.) here are the lyrics to the song: You think you own whatever land you land on The earth is just a dead thing yoyu can claim But I know every rock and tree and creature Has a life, has a spirit, has a name You think the only people who are people Are the people who look and think like you But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger You'll learn life has a spirit, has a name Things you never knew you never knew Have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon? Or asked the grinning bobcat why he grinned? Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? How high does the sycamore grow? If you cut it down, you will never know. And you never hear the wolf cry to the blue corn moon, For whether we are white or copper skinned, We need to sing with all the voices of the mountain Need to paint with all the colors of the wind. You can own the earth and still All you'll own is earth until You can paint with all the colors of the wind.
*PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION!!* This video has a completely different story from the actual movie. The story was inspired by the amazing book called The Host by Stephenie Meyer. So if you have read The Host, it's not going to be completely the same. So that means.. no Ian. -cries- Yes that is a shame xD The characters in the movie remain the same in my video. Anyways, I decided to upload this into parts. Mostly because I don't feel like writing the very long story at once. I'm really lazy x ...

Dyveke 10 participated with Colours of the Wind in Norwegian at the local Jr. Idol in Sarpsborg, Norway - while in 5th grade. She became number 4. The price was to participate on a CD recorded in Sound on Sound studio by Lars Andresen. It was her second time in studio recording - and she was so proud and pleased. She then chose the same song the summer of 2008 singing at an enviromental concert at Hafslund HovedgĂĄrd in Sarpsborg, Norway. When she was invited to sing she decided that the text is so much about taking care of Mother Earth. She is very proud of her name, Dyveke, meaning Litle Dove.

Lyrics ~ I don't know you But I want you All the more for that Words fall through me And always fool me And I can't react And games that never amount To more than they're meant Will play themselves out Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You've made it now Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back Moods that take me and erase me And I'm painted black You have suffered enough And warred with yourself It's time that you won Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice You've made it now Take this sinking boat and point it home We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice You've made it now Falling slowly sing your melody I'll sing along Movie: Pocahontas (c) Disney Song: Falling Slowly (c) Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova (Once Soundtrack, winner of an Academy Award)

Pocahontas belongs to DISNEY!!! ------------------------------- This was a request ^^ Translating this song was quite the challange, so I got galacticChicken to help me, and we did it together. I think it turned out pretty good :) I want to say that the lyrics are good, but after hearing the perfect Arabic version, then it's so hard to say!! But, I think though that the lyrics give the message and therefore keep the original intention. I think that Valgerður's voice fits well for Pocahontas. It's deep, but bright and she therefore doesn't sound ingorant. I apologise for these two words my fellow Europeans :( #Dead Ringer = An exact duplicate #Abundance = A great or plentiful amount ---For Icelandic Learners--- Þú - You [nominative form.] (Ăžig [accusative], Þér [dative] ĂžĂn [genetive]) Ekki - Not Villta - Wild [accusative form] (A man is villtur, a woman is villt, a child is villt) Heimska - Stupid [accusative form] (A man is heimskur, a woman is heimsk, a child is heimskt) Satt - True [neutral form] (A man is sannur, a woman is sönn, a child is satt. Not that this is possible of course ^^) Greind - Intelligence [nominative form - feminine] Landið - The Country/Land [accusative form - neutral] (Land - a Land) Jörðin - The Earth [nominative form - feminine] (Jörð - a Earth) Vera - Creature [nominative form - feminine, because it ends with -a] TrĂ© - Tree [nominative form - neuter] Klettur - Rock [nominative - masculine, because it ends with -ur] LĂf - Life [accusative form ...
