This is all the parts of the broadcast that involve me, plus all those that involve Brett (two little clips at the end) and the part about Kim. The Cox Providence Rhode Races took place May 2, 2010 in beautiful downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The start of the marathon and half-marathon was captured on a hand-held video cam. Lots of enthusiasm from the participants and spectators. The route of the marathon went to Barrington and back. The half-marathon went into Pawtucket before returning to the start via Blackstone Boulevard on the East Side.

This years race takes place on March 20th at 7AM just outside of the DC Armory and RFK Stadium, located adjacent to the starting areas of the CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield National Half Marathon and National Team Relay. The fastest looped course in the country celebrates its 5th year as the only marathon to take place entirely within the DC and is expected to be the best event to date! In the mens marathon, Michael Wardian, age 35, of Arlington, Va., took 1st place with a time of 2:21:58; Patrick Moulton, age 28, of Providence, RI, took 2nd place(2:26:03); and Paul Howarth, of Albuquerque, NM, took 3rd place(2:27:19). In the womens marathon, Krista Vrombaut, age 27, of Rock Island, Ill., took 1st place with a time of 2:51:17; Michaela Driscoll, of Coventry, RI, took 2nd place(2:55:50); Mary Beth Chosak, age 31 of Arlington, Va., took 3rd place(2:57:32).
In the midst, literally, of training for the 2500th anniversary marathon in Greece, MB Head of School Matt Glendinning created this special welcome for a group of classicists who visited campus over March break.
