Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.-Rabindranath Tagore Although the idea to ride all the breathtaking off road biking roads in Pune had been brewing in my head for more than 7-8 months and it always ended with "when will monsoon come...and earth go green". 12th June 2010 I was as usual browsing internet and chatting with friends. Harshad Lamrood a recently added friend suggested for a ride at Pabhe ghat(place near Panshet dam approx 30 km from Lokmat office ), with Sagar Dani and Saurabh Avachat . With no second thought in my mind grabbed this opportunity with both hands. All things were planed at night but early morning rain Gods blessed us with heavy showers which caused the delay in ride. I was waiting for guys in rain wearing rain suit at a well known meeting spot Lokmat office on Sinhgad road. Many thoughts were running through my head. I was not wearing any safety gear besides helmet and what if I had a fall...like in Lonavla. My bike has hit reserve yesterday night in Pune...and what if it dried in middle of ride. I was doubtful about them to join because I never went for a ride with them and history says rains usually scared most of my friends and cancelled the plans. But a sigh of relief soon my wing riders Harshad and Saurabh(on Yamaha Libero) arrived followed by Sagar(on Suzuki GS150R). With a brief introduction our run to Pabhe started. Our pace was slow, still it was fun to enjoy the ...

English translation: Oh Iran, oh bejeweled land Oh, your soil is the wellspring of the arts Far from you may the thoughts of evil be May you remain lasting and eternal Oh enemy, if you are of stone, I am of iron May my life be sacrificed for the pure soil of my motherland Since your love became my calling My thoughts are never far from you In your cause, when do our lives have value? May the land of our Iran be eternal The stones of your mountains are jewels and pearls The soil of your valleys are better than gold When could I rid my heart of your affection? Tell me, what will I do without your affection? As long as the turning of the earth and the cycling of the sky lasts The light of the Divine will always guide us Since your love became my calling My thoughts are never far from you In your cause, when do our lives have value? May the land of our Iran be eternal Iran oh my green paradise Bright is my fate because of you If fire rains on my body Other than your love I will not cherish in my heart Your water, soil and love molded my clay If your love leaves my heart it will become barren Since your love became my calling My thoughts are never far from you In your cause, when do our lives have value
mankind is causing global warming is far from being a proven fact. man-made emissions of greenhouse gases have increased, largely as a result of the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. Climate change causing intense heat waves, floods, tsunami. India is being hit by more intense and longer heat waves that are taking a higher toll than usual on lives and the environment, says a report in the latest issue of Down to Earth magazine. Could this be another signal that climate change is aleady impacting the country, it asks. In March-April, over 70 people reportedly died in Orissa due to sunstroke, with mercury soaring to 46 degree centigrade in April in some cities. The states health machinery was caught napping. In West Bengal, the heat wave killed nine. Abnormal dry spells and dust storms swamped Guwahati in Assam, while the entire Malwa region in Madhya Pradesh reeled from a severe water stress. Khurda is the worst affected district in Orissa, with 10 sunstroke deaths reported. Photo: Agnimirh Basu What is wrong with the weather, asks the report. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), disturbances in the air circulation pattern over India led to mercury soaring across the country. Circulation of air helps distribute heat over the earth. The cyclonic storm, Bijli, which formed in the Bay of Bengal in mid-April, cut off the cool easterly winds blowing in from the Bay of Bengal. To add to it, an anticyclone hovering around Rajasthan blew hot winds from ...
When the city was battered by the rains because of cyclne Phyan in Arabian sea, it uprooted a large number of trees—but most of them that fell were the exotic ones and only few were the Indian ones. The rains kept 80 firemen on their toes while 13 fire tenders were sent out on duty for more than twenty four hours through out the period . City tree activist Vinod Jain said most of the tree that crashed were the exotic variety which failed to acclimatize to the Indian condition. Pune city Fire Control room had a tough time on Tuesday and Fire Control room was busy answering numerous calls of tree felling . Story & Video By - Kaumudi Gurjar,Mid-Day,Pune

We are Indians but we also have our love to our State & other Local Places where we really belong. It is surprising if the locals are not preferred by the Govt in the name of INDIANS & Promotes in harboring regionalism than it is Not the Locals who are to be blamed for any kind of Opposition. I Love India My Country I also Love My Goa & I also promotes Konkani Language .I also Like Pune & Proud of Marathi as my Mother Tongue I am also proud of South states who has strong oneness associated through its culture. It is Important North & Central India learns to appreciate others culture. Unlike Jaya's Ba.. Let us not instigate Any Indians on Regionalism. This is Real Life Not a Film Dialogues.
