Rumor has it Timothy came to Quagga when he was turned down by another shelter for having an injured leg. He seems fine to me!!!! He's adorable and sweet and is going to be a big boy. His paws are huge!
Dusk has been a the shelter since he was a little kitten. He is sweet, playful, and really ready for someone special to come and take him home. His littermates have all moved on quite a while ago. I'm shocked everytime I come in for my shift and he's still there. I hope he finds his family soon.

With the levels of the water going down in Lake Mead, mussels are showing up at Boulder Beach. Quaaga mussels were discovered in Lake Mead early in 2008 and have been spreading through out the west. Zebra mussels, a close relative to the Quagga mussels look alot like them the only distinction is really their size. These were attached to the rocks on the shore of Boulder Beach April of 2009.
