My 18-month-old monk parakeet, Elsie Dee, stalking a tub of Cheerios (which she ceased liking after I made the mistake of giving her some of the Honey-Nut variety) and then play-fighting with me. Yes, I realize that she is a "he" and this is a male behavior; however, by the time I found that out, she was ten months used to being "Elsie" and a "good/pretty girl" and so on. I didn't see any reason to confuse her, and she certainly doesn't care. This video taken with my Motorola Droid A855 with Verizon.

This is my Quaker Parrot, Simon Psychosis. He's a "special" bird. Here, he talks to us and(or) his imaginary friend(s). He was talking like this for hours... He was sort of acting odd, so maybe he thought he was in trouble for some reason... Either that or he's complaining that his scrambled eggs are cold and the toast is just bread. XD About Simon - He is a little psycho bird who is always talking to nothing and twitching like crazy. He was a rescue so he says things and I don't know what they are, but I do know when he's mumbling under his breath like this it's best to steer clear of him and his super beak! I have more than enough scars to prove it... When he's nice he's nice, but when he's bad he's BAD. 0_o He is VERY smart and picks up on words very quickly. He also knows how to untie knots. He is very tame(when not in his territory) and will stay on my shoulder outside without a harness. Don't worry, I know how to keep him safe. I'll probably upload some more of his insanity sometime.

After seeing how involved and nutty Pluto became during the conversation, I decided I would upload a snippet of our attempt to create a training video for potty training. I thought if anything, you would get a great laugh out of his antics!
This is my first attempt at creating a training video with Pluto. I am rather nervous so please excuse my awkwardness. : ) Pluto insisted on being involved in the conversation and was a little irritated I wasn't paying him my undivided attention. Thanks to another youtuber showing us how we can make snugglies out of our old t-shirts, Keiko just loves her new snugglie. I just cut up an old shirt (thoroughly washed) into strips and knotted it onto a plastic ring to hang it on Keiko's 'daytime stand'. She has another one in her cage. Thanks again---great ideas
Keiko, our new 3 month old baby Quaker Parrot is living the good life. Her homemade play gym had an upgrade to it. We used the plastic grid that comes with A/C filters. It is perfect to cut and use as ladders. Once again, we used Carefresh bedding for the bottom of his play yard - makes cleanup so much easier and lasts longer. The gym was constructed of PVC pipe which was bolted into the bottom of a plastic bin. Perfect for clean-ups and the mess stays inside the bin. He loves it. He stays there all day, as long as I am home and sleeps in his cage at night. What more could a Quaker baby ask for? All this, and lots of love and attention.
