Lobb ain't no knob; he's actually a rather nice guy who Robin apparently gets along well with. He does, however, repeatedly go against his own strongly-worded injunction to us to not use the name "Marian" in the city.

Robin Hood Gardens is a council housing complex in Poplar, London designed in the late 1960s by architects Alison and Peter Smithson. The estate covers about two hectares and consists of two long blocks, one of ten storeys, the other of seven, containing 213 flats, surrounding a landscaped green area and a small hill. The estate is currently threatened with demolition by Tower Hamlets Council. In 2008 the Twentieth Century Society and Building Design magazine mounted a campaign to get Robin Hood Gardens listed as a historical landmark in order to save it from destruction. However, English Heritage did not back the proposal, with its commissioners overruling the advice of its own advisory committee. The fight to save Robin Hood Gardens continues however and the Twentieth Century Society commissioned sounddelivery to create this audio slideshow as part of their continuing campaign to save the buildings.

Back in the 90's I started collecting Walt Disney videos. Disney began releasing their classics on VHS and BETA, then placing these very release on a 7-year moratorium where it wouldn't again be released for SEVEN YEARS. "The Little Mermaid" was the first to reach COLLECTOR statur due to this. Many parents wanted to buy these tapes for their kids to enjoy, but found disappointment when learning that these videos weren't due for a re-release until the 7-year moratorium would pass. Imagine not being able to buy "Pinocchio" for your 3 year old child until he/she was almost 10!! I vowed to start collecting 2-3 deep of all the titles released. This way I could give a copy as a Birthday or Christmas gift when it was near impossible to purchase, making a truly rare gift, and still allowing these kids to share in the joy of DISNEY! THIS VIDEO SHOWS WHAT'S LEFT OF MY VHS DISNEY COLLECTION. Now that I've began collecting the dvds of these titles, and kids today no longer have access to VHS players (let alone know what VHS is), I hope that somebody else finds joy in these classics.
