Just some clips I've put in to show some ways Phenomena (Also known as Creepers on the VHS version in the United States) and Clock Tower. WARNING: Some clips may be frightening, involve disturbing images, violence, and some blood. Although I've shown ittle as I could, there are some clips that contain it.If any of this bothers you, you should close out the window, click the home button, or click another link. If you want to watch anyway you should take caution in watching. For fans of the horror genre, I suggest watching Phenomena or playing Clock Tower! Both are good in my view. Similarity 1 --------------- The clothing is similar. Similarity 2 --------------- I'm unsure if its similar. I felt like showing it. Similarity 3 --------------- Both involve a swarm of bugs. Similarity 4 --------------- In the bathroom, maggots appear. (Random occurance in Clock Tower) Similarity 5 --------------- Both moters show false concern and try to get Jennifer to take something. Similarity 6 --------------- Both mothers are insane and deranged. Similarity 7 --------------- Both Murderers are children and use a pair of scissors. (Apparantley their mothers never told them not to run with scissors =p) Similarity 8 --------------- In some part in the house, there is someone trapped inside. Similarity 9 --------------- When Jennifer purges the pill, Brukener hits Jenniger in the head. And when Mary comes with a gun, Jennifer hits Mary with a board. Similarity 10 ----------------- Jennifer ...
After having found an assortment of old VHS tapes at my parent's house, found what is probably the earliest video footage of myself. This is just a random assortment of moments that took place between 1987 and 1991. A few people asked me about what I was like as a kid, so I tossed this together while I archived a bunch of the old VHS family videos. My parents requested specifically that I did not put anything too weird online. If you want to see my family at its most bizarre, visit them. Warning: This video features children wearing makeup.

Devil With a Blue Dress was probably filmed in 1986. I was about 20 years old at the time. It was originally conceived as a response to "dance" music videos--by the likes of Madonna and Paula Abdul--that were popular at the time. In the old MGM musicals, dancers like Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly were filmed from head-to-toe, in full-length shots, with as few cut-aways as possible. The audiences were given the visual evidence that the stars could, in fact, dance, and that they had mastered the routines from beginning to end. The '80s music videos had random shots of pop stars doing spin kicks, thrusts, and other Bob Fosse-inspired moves, with close ups and other images inserted after just about every step (see Paula Abdul's video for Straight Up to see what I mean). Paula Abdul, Madonna, and some of the others may have been fine dancers, but the proof wasn't in their music videos: with enough editing, almost ANYONE can be made to look like a competent dancer. And that's where *I* come in As you may have guessed from the video, I am not a trained dancer (but I DID watch a LOT of Adam Ant videos). My brother David and I shot my part in an alley near our house, with no permit or permission. It was all done in one take, no rehearsal. I think a roll of Super 8 film was good for about three and a half minutes, so it was pretty much "One roll, gotta go." I chopped out the parts where I stumbled, forgot the words, or did something that looked especially stupid. (The keyword here is ...
Master of the Flying Gila Monster (full title: Eye of the Mosquito II: Master of the Flying Gila Monster) is a parody of Jimmy Wang Yu's classic kung fu movie, Master of the Flying Guillotine. It was probably filmed between 1984 and 1986; the titles and credits were added in 1986. I was in my late teens/very early 20s when I made it. I play a "duel" role, as the good Mak Chow and the evil Wang Foo Ho. Written, produced, filmed, directed, and edited by Steven A. Ross Additional camera work (and a few stand-in shots) by my brother, David Ross (who did an excellent job). My buddy Jason Lorge provided Mak Chow's voice; I did all of the others. My mother, my father, and my grandfather have blink-and-you'll-miss-'em cameos as Wang Foo Ho's victims. The sound effects were compiled from several kung fu movies onto a single audio cassette. All of the sound was edited with two VCRs and a cassette player. The location shots were filmed in Monterrey Park, which was the most Asian neighborhood in my area in the early '80s. The exterior to the "Shaolin Temple" was actually a supermarket. The TV newscast was just some random bit I filmed off of the local international channel. Whatever the news story had been--disaster, crime, politics--I would have incorporated it into the plot. I still have no idea what the "real story" was, but it gave me an opportunity to steal from SNL's Assassination of Buckwheat sketch. Changeman (and early, Japanese version of the Power Rangers) was the show ...
A Hard Day's Life was originally a collection of random shots that I took while I was learning to use my Super 8 camera. It was one of the first movies finished for Temple City High School's Dragonflicks Film Class, which was started by Ms. Carolyn "Corky" Dunn in the early '80s. When the footage was roughly assembled together, it looked like some of the wacky song clips by the Beatles and the Monkees. There were four members in those bands, and our footage featured four members of the so-called Steve Ross Klan (SRK), so the film became our version of A Hard Day's Night: it was fine-tuned and edited into A Hard Day's Life. It now serves as a living yearbook for Temple City High School circa 1982-1984. A Hard Day's Life is also dedicated to the memory of Timothy S. Pinkham, a great friend, and one of the funniest, most creative guys I have ever had the honor of knowing. Written, produced, filmed, directed, and edited by Steven A. Ross Starring Scott Buehl, Tim Pinkham, Vallen Thomas, and Steven A. Ross Also featuring Frank Alioto, Andy Nahabedian, Patrick Robinson, Shawn Payne, Todd Plaas, Darin Johnson, Jason Lorge, Lana Alley, Glenn Lamar, and Mike Gerard Scott "Otto" Buehl was our "wild man." He was into the Beatles and played guitar, he was the one with a girlfriend, and he was the one who instigated most of our grossest gags and practical jokes. One day, he declared that he wanted to be known as "Otto." Later, someone on campus had been successful in converting ...

Here is GE's awesome 60-second commercial that was shown repeatedly throughout the 2002 Winter Olympics, featuring ATC's "Around the World (La La La La La)" as the background song. During the 2002 olympics, I put a VHS tape in and just recorded a bunch of random commercials, and I was lucky to get the tape on in time to get this one, minus a few seconds at the beginning. This was probably my favorite commercial out of all of them, and was the first thing I ever heard "Around the World" in, and the song's been a huge favorite of mine ever since.

TIGS (Totally Interactive Game Show) took the radical approach of totally (ahem) borrowing Games World's idea of inviting viewers to phone in to play computer games using the telephone keypad. These games weren't exactly "Ronseal" though, as TIGS wasn't quite exactly what it said on the tin, unless "Press 4" really is totally interactive. Two kids who were picked at random from a premium rate phone line battled it out in games set underwater (press 4 to avoid the sharks), in caves (press 4 to avoid the boulders) or on a football field (press 4 to avoid the defenders) The three winners went on to the Scalextric-type final, using real model cars on a real model track (The Devil's Track). Points were scored by staying in the correct gear. Too slow, not enough points; too fast, crash. Three crashes meant game over. The cars never really crashed of course (far too expensive on a CITV budget) so a camera effect simulated the crash. The highest score would have taken home a Super Nintendo, or something similar, if they weren't already at home. This full episode was taken from a home recording on a VHS tape back in november 1995. I've split it into three parts, as YouTube will only allow 10 minutes for each upload. From what I can tell, it appears most people have forgotten about TIGS Plus it seems that I'm probably the only person on the planet to have a full episode from the 1st and only series. The show was scrapped after only being on air from 25th October to 13th December ...
Enjoy! The rest of the story will be on the next video.

This is the pride and joy of the "LOST FOREVER VHS RESTORATION PROJECT." This video was originally made as part of my final writing assignment for 12th grade English. We had to write a long report on something and then make a presentation to the class. My topic was special effects in the movies and as part of my oral presentation I made this short film. Before anyone starts asking - Yes, the title is spelled correctly. I was trying to spoof the Matrix. This short was also created before I was ever involved in any type of film or TV production class. Taped on an old Hi8 camera and then edited with Adobe Premiere, Photoshop and various other effects programs. I was most pissed about losing this film when my computer crashed, so now it is wonderful that a copy emerged on a random VHS at my house. This is the only finished copy that exists of this film so sit back and enjoy courtesy of ZIGGY FILMS LTD. STARRING... Dan Albrecht - Martrix Guy Scott Albrecht - Agent Peter Albrecht - Voice
This is a look at the lighter-side of Steve Coley, Larry Johnson, and Ronn Carter back in 1985. This marketing music video (for some reason) worked good to land High School Proms (believe it or not). I think it worked because we were the first to produce a video illustrating our work. This video worked 100% of the time to promote our (then) BAMM-DJ company. You're watching part ONE. Click here to see PART TWO www.youtube.com Song performed by Ready For The World, "Oh Sheila" We entertained at Wedding Receptions, Proms, High School Balls, Company Christmas Party, Birthday Parties, etc for 18-years. The locations for this music video: Opening shot, leaving a random house up the street from the Ugly Duck. Arriving at our studio--then the Ugly Duck, now Prevots. Inside the studio took place at the Terrace, which was the most popular hang out of the day in Concord. Dance party was shot at an actual event inside the Antioch Fair Grounds (or Contra Costa County Fair). For the record, we had the largest DJ set-up, as far as we knew, and in retrospect to the late 1980's it actually looked good at the time. There were always two DJ's at every event, probably just to lug around all of this massive equipment. Yes, we know that DJ's today only carry with them an MP3 player and two small speakers and charge 5X what we charged, however we had talent, the sweetest pure sounding audio system anywhere, we had bass in reserve, and we regularly visited our local Record stores to PURCHASE our ...
