This battle shows the final strategy strategy behind this pass: Castform. Icy wind is there instead of ice beam to hit both pokemon and slow them down, since Castform doesn't really have the best speed out there. Fire blast completely destroys the unlucky receiver. It's a shame Casform can't learn Heat wave... Shadow ball is mostly a filler since thunderbolt is not needed (solar beam and icy wind cover water and flying, having thunderbolt would be a waste of spot). Shadow ball would've come in handy in this battle against the giratina and mesprit, too bad they gave up. I guess they couldn't stand having their ubers beaten by such pokemon. Note how bulky Cherrim is! It's EV'd in HP, and it took those attacks very well.
