His screen career ran from 1929 to 1985.<p>Milland was in all probability born Alfred Reginald Jones in Neath Wales the son of Alfred Jones and Elizabeth Annie Truscott. It has been suggested that Ray Milland was born Reginald Alfred John Truscott-Jones , however, there is no such person in the General Registry of Births for England and Wales, so this must have been an early affectation designed to further his career.
