This video tribute is dedicated to Natalie Wood who left us way too soon. She is one of my favorite actresses & my favorite movies of hers are: This Property Is Condemned, Splender In The Grass,Miracle on 34th St., West Side Story, Our Very Own & Marjorie Morningstar. Natalie Wood was born on July 20, 1938, in San Francisco, California, as Natalia Nikolaevna Zakharenko. Her parents were Russian émigrés who spoke barely comprehensible English, but they changed the family name to Gurdin after becoming US citizens. When she was just four years old, Natalie appeared in her first film, Happy Land (1943). A production company had come to Santa Rosa, California, where the Gurdins were living and Natalie won a bit part of a crying little girl who had just dropped her ice cream cone. With stars in her eyes for her daughter, Mrs. Gurdin packed the family and moved south to Los Angeles in the hopes that more films would come her daughter's way. Unfortunately, they did not, at least not at first, and the family continued to scrape by much as they had done in Santa Rosa. In 1946, Natalie tested for a role in Tomorrow Is Forever (1946). She was only seven at the time, and flunked the screen test. Natalie's mother convinced the studio heads to give her another test, and this time she was convincing enough that they gave Natalie the role. In 1947's Miracle on 34th Street (1947), she won the hearts of movie patrons around the country as Susan Walker in a film that is considered a ...
Golden Globe-winning actress Natalie Wood, who died tragically drowning and will be very missed this Christmas. This is my first video using footage. I hope you all like it! The song is Tonight's the Night sung by Janet Jackson (DISCLAIMER: I do not own the rights to the music and am using it for entertainment only). Please comment and rate. Rest in peace Natalie, I love you.
This one is more of a descriptive video. I didn't have enough good video to make a "how to" cooking video. The man speaking is local scholar Enrique Madrid, who shot the snake. Never eat grilled rattlesnake nachoes unless you're married to a dentist.

Screen legend Paul Newman has died from cancer, aged 83. With his piercing blue eyes and laid back style, Paul Newman became one of the most recognised leading men in Hollywood. But he always doubted his own acting ability, once claiming that "I only got by on looks and energy." Paul Leonard Newman was born on 26 Jan 1925 in the Shaker Heights suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. In 1969 he teamed up with Robert Redford for the western, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, which became one of the biggest grossing films of all time. He worked with Redford again in 1973 in The Sting, in which a complicated plot was hatched by a pair of hustlers to con a big time gangster, played by Robert Shaw. He continued to widen his repertoire playing a diverse selection of roles throughout the 1970s and 80s. They varied from the architect in The Towering Inferno, a hard drinking hockey coach in Slap Shot and the taciturn cop Murphy in Fort Apache, The Bronx. In 2007 he announced officially that he was retiring from acting, believing that he was no longer able to perform at the level he wanted. "You start to lose your memory, you start to lose your confidence, you start to lose your invention. So I think that's pretty much a closed book for me." Following the end of his first marriage to Jackie Witte, he married the actress Joanne Woodward in 1958. It was one of the most enduring relationships in Hollywood and the couple jealously guarded their privacy. Once asked if he was ever attracted by the ...
"Akhenaten wasn't the most manly pharaoh, even though he fathered at least a half-dozen children. In fact, his form was quite feminine, which has puzzled experts for years. And he was a bit of an egghead. Dr. Irwin Braverman, a Yale University physician who analyzed images of Akhenaten, has a new theory on why. He'll be presenting his findings at an annual conference Friday at the University of Maryland School of Medicine on the ailments and deaths of historic figures. The female form was due to a genetic mutation that caused the pharaoh's body to convert more male hormones to female hormones than needed, Braverman believes. And Akhenaten's head was misshapen because of a condition in which skull bones fuse at an early age. The pharaoh had "an androgynous appearance. He had a female physique with wide hips and breasts, but he was male and he was fertile and he had six daughters," Braverman said. "But nevertheless, he looked like he had a female physique." Braverman, who sizes up the health of individuals based on portraits, teaches a class at Yale's medical school that uses paintings from the university's Center for British Art to teach observation skills to first-year students. For his study of Akhenaten, he used statues and carvings. Akhenaten (ah-keh-NAH-ten), best known for introducing a revolutionary form of monotheism to ancient Egypt, reigned in the mid-1300s BC He was married to Nefertiti, and Tutankhamun, also known as King Tut, may have been his son or half ...
