The Shroud Written by Dallas Tanner (www.dallastanner.com) and Published by Trilogus Books (http Released on Amazon.com Paperback and Kindle, January 10th, 2010 Global release March 5th, 2010 In 1898, the first photograph taken of The Shroud of Turin revealed a positive, the negative of a negative image as produced by a primitive camera - 500 years ago... Nathan Archer is a Professor of Medieval Studies at the University of Chicago, and a forensic historian who believes that Leonardo Da Vinci created a perfect copy of the Sindon, the burial cloth of Christ known as the Shroud of Turin. Citing an unpaid commission by the House of Savoy to paint a replica, he searches for proof that the renaissance master employed techniques that took four centuries to discover the faded image of the crucified Jesus. Divorced by his wife and ridiculed by his peers for what many feel does not take into account its biblical timeline, Archer travels with Sindonologist Amanda Wilkes across Europe at the request of a stranger who insists that he can help them solve the riddle of the Holy Grail, and the fate of the last Knights Templar. What they discovered at the ruins of the Temple of Solomon is bound up with the flight of Joseph of Arimathea from Jerusalem. Everywhere they turn, colleagues are dying or revealing themselves to be something other than what they truly are. No one is to be trusted, as Archer and Wilkes are accused of crimes committed just before or after they find another clue ...

After departing Gong in 1975, Steve Hillage followed the same route as everyone else, by making a solo album. He enlisted some Gong colleagues -- bassist Mike Howlett, saxophonist Didier Malherbe, and drummer Pierre Moerlen -- and augmented them with others from his Canterbury past, keyboard player Dave Stewart (the two had played together at the beginning of the decade) and Henry Cow's Lindsay Cooper. The result, apart from revealing a slightly unhealthy obsession with fish (at least a change from Gong's pothead pixies) is a Canterbury musical delight. I have divided the album in 4 parts in order to upload it to youtube. Some intros and one small sequence in the end of side 1 has been left out to fit the youtube timeline.
New Chronology goes by the following basic axioms: - Chronology is the basis of history; - Human evolution has always been linear, gradual and irreversible; - The "cyclic" nature of human civilization is a myth, likewise all the gaps, duplicates, "dark ages" and "renaissances" that we know from consensual history are fantasy and hoax; - The accumulation of geographical knowledge as reflected in cartography is a gradual and irreversible process; - The closer in time is a given manuscript to the events described the less distortions it contains; - There is no "useless" information in authentic ancient sources.
Has history been tampered with? Did events and eras such as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Roman Empire , the Dark Ages, and the Renaissance, actually occur within a very different chronology from what we've been told? Your scepticism is welcome! Do add to it a touch of your own sound reason and logic when reading this book. Step by step you will come to the simple, but inevitable mind boggling conclusion that Antiquity and Dark Ages are phantoms invented in the 16th 17th centuries. Human civilization is barely 1000 years old! Not quite what you have learned in school? This version of world history is more substantiated by hard facts and logic - validated by new astronomical research and statistical analysis of ancient manuscripts - than all that you have learned, read and heard about history before. The socalled universal classic world history is a pack of intricate lies for all events prior to the 16th century. It was entirely fabricated in the 16th 18th centuries. It's likely that nobody told you before, but there is not a single piece of firm written evidence or artifact that is reliably and independently dated prior to the 11th century.
The aesthetic of luminous ceilings: From the image of heaven to dynamic light. This movie is a shortened version of the paper which was presented at the Professional Lighting Design Conference in Berlin in 2009. Luminous ceilings provide spacious room impressions and can provide different types of lighting. Besides this, they are, however, also metaphors of the natural sky and a mirror of an aesthetic and architectural debate. The historical observation of ceilings reveals that the image of heaven, which reached a theological culmination in the luminous Renaissance stucco techniques, turned into large-scale light emanating surfaces. Even if the luminance of contemporary LED screens has increased intensely and thereby creates a point of attraction, designers still look to establish a pictorial language for an impressive appearance. Naturally, after everything you've learned, read and heard in school and university, you will not believe that the classical history of ancient Rome , Greece , Asia , Egypt , China , Japan , India , etc., is manifestly false. Naturally you'll point burning accusing finger to the pyramids in Egypt , to the Coliseum in Rome and Great Wall of China etc., and claim, aren't they really ancient? They are certainly very old, but what proves they are many thousands of years old? The history described in written chronicles begins with the 11th century only. Everything prior to that is pre-history, which we can only guess about. What if homo sapiens invented writing only 1000 years ago? Once invented, writing was immediately and irreversibly put to the use of ruling powers and science. The consensual chronology we live with was essentially crafted in the 16th century. A contradictory mix of innumerable copies of ancient Latin and Greek manuscripts and other irrefutable proofs delivered by late mediaeval astronomers were cemented by the authority of writings of the Church Fathers. All dirty and worn out originals have somehow disappeared in the Dark Ages, as illiterate monks kept only brand new copies.
Has history been falsified? Did events and eras such as the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the Roman Empire , the Dark Ages, and the Renaissance, actually occur within a very different chronology from what we've been told? Your scepticism is welcome! Do add to it a touch of your own sound reason and logic when reading this book. Michael Barry, the Patti Cadby Birch Consultative Chairman, Department of Islamic Art, MMA, presents this examination of the mysterious central figure in one of the most enigmatic paintings of the Italian Renaissance, Giorgiones "Three Philosophers" (Venice, 1504). The discussion of this work, which is now in the Kunsthistoriches Museum in Vienna, sheds light on the role that Islam and Islamic philosophy played in late medieval and early Renaissance European perceptions. The Italian Renaissance is an example of the Pantheon Studios Art Scenes Project. This educational initiative is designed to restore arts education to public education, using short, dramatized video pieces that will appeal to young students. Each 3-5 minute video or "scene" highlights a major artist, work of art or musical composition in history. Once completed, the Art Scenes Series will be made available for use in High School and undergraduate education, complete with a Teacher Guide and program chronology. The Art Scenes Project is an initiative of Pantheon Studios in Santa Monica, CA.

Watch Entire Show: www.youtube.com More Shows: www.youtube.com Episodes 17 and 18 of James Burke's Connections², which is the first of two sequels to the original Connections series. In this series, Mr. Burke continues his investigations into the interconnectedness of ideas and inventions that, usually serendipitously, led to important changes our modern-day world. The format has changed to 25 minute episodes with each episode less focused and much more free-form. Mr. Burke may take a particular historical figure and then expand on an array of subsequent, and important discoveries or inventions directly, or indirectly resulting from there, or else he may take several origins and show how they ultimately came together resulting in some unexpected consequence (as in Connections 1). From a K-web point of view, this series may be visually seen as type of random-walk exploration through "connection space" as a child may do on their first visit, perhaps before discovering a particular topic or thread they may wish to pursue in more detail. Known as The Astor Court, this architectural treasure is a reconstruction of an authentic Ming dynasty garden courtyard in the city of Suzhou, west of Shanghai. It opened to the public in 1981 as a gift of the Vincent Astor Foundation, and includes an adjoining room that houses the Museum's collection of Chinese hardwood furniture. The objective is to present the Hystory through Art, passing by Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, The Middle Age, The Renaissance, The Baroque, The Romantism, The Enlightenment, The Pre-Modern Era, ... The art of Ancient Greece is one of her greatest gifts to posterity. But when one thinks of Ancient Rome ...... her gladiators, her government, or perhaps her armies are the conspicuous mementos. True, the vividly colored murals at Pompeii are spectacular. So are the murals in neighboring towns, also preserved by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD But Pompeii and its neighbors were gay seaside resorts, only provincial cousins of Rome. According to descriptions by Roman historians, the wall paintings in Rome itself far surpassed these from Pompeii. Indeed, it is probably because there is little else that survives to compare with it, that we prize the art of Pompeii and its neighbors so highly. Is this to say, then, that Roman art has little merit, that it is a second-rate rerun of the glorious Greek art which preceded it? The relative merits of Greek and Roman art have been debated by scholars for centuries. Let's leave the debate to the scholars and turn instead to a more meaningful way in which all art may be judged: that is, as a reflection of the culture that produced it. Just as pop art, like it or not, will give future ages a meaningful image of our society and its values ... ... so Roman art is an excellent indicator of what mattered to people in Roman times. And just as ...

Has history been tampered with? Is it possible that Ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt were invented during Renaissance? Can it be that Jesus Christ was born in 1053 AD and crucified in 1086 AD? "History: Fiction or Science?" by the eminent mathematician Anatoly Fomenko and his colleagues crowns 30 years of meticulous and extensive research. It is the first volume in seven comprising a "Chronology" that exposes numerous questionable notions of traditional history. "History: Fiction or Science?" describes how the contemporary chronological scale was created and by whom, with the culprits named as the 16th 17th century clergy. The well-known model of history has enjoyed the relentless attention of prominent critics ever since its creation including people like Sir Isaac Newton and Jean Hardouin, the court librarian of Louis XIV, the Sun King of France. Anatoly Fomenko dissects every historical age scrupulously and analyzes the data from every angle imaginable. Poggio Bracciolini and Petrarch take the blame for creating the beautiful legend of a mythical Classical age that never was. The Biblical events are brought a lot closer to us both historically and geographically. The Biblical Jerusalem is actually the medieval city of Constantinople.
Has history been tampered with? Homer's "Iliad" tells the tale of the First Crusade. When we think of Homer's Troy, we imagine it in fantasy hues of times long gone. And yet the latest research conducted of one of the world's leading mathematicians proves it to us irrefutably: what we know as the "Trojan War" was in fact the First Crusade! CLICK ON AMAZON.COM LINK! We aren't talking about obvious parallels between two major military campaigns separated by millennia - the Trojan War and the First Crusade are but different names of one and the same military campaign. The former ended up in the distant past due to the blatantly erroneous chronology that we use - one that was created by the Jesuits in the 16th 17th century. This chronology, regarded by many as the absolute historical truth, contains many gaps and repetitions. Most major historical events (as well as personalities and even places) have several phantom duplicates arbitrarily dated to various antediluvian epochs and presumed completely unrelated to one another - the Trojan War and the First Crusade are a perfect example. Our entire view of the so-called "Antiquity" and the Middle Ages changes radically; history becomes streamlined and unencumbered by all the dark ages, lost empires and mystical cyclic patterns that afflict the official version. The duplicates all roll into a single historical reality - Classical Greek poleis become one with the mediaeval Crusader states, ancient Egyptian paganism identifies as ...
Has history been tampered with? Was there really a Dark Age? It is common knowledge that the Classical Age was followed by many centuries of utter stagnation and decline with virtually nothing happening but wars and famine and the destruction of the priceless ancient monuments. CLICK ON AMAZON LINK! Then, during the Renaissance, the Classical authors re-appear from oblivion, Latin and Greek become resurrected as the intelligentsia Esperanto of the Middle Ages, numerous manuscripts re-appear from oblivion to be copied, enter wide circulation, and vanish again, never to be found. How preposterous would it be to suggest that there were no Dark Ages to separate the antiquity from the Renaissance - that the "Re-naissance" was in fact the naissance of the Western European culture as we know it? It does contradict everything that we may ever have learnt about history. However, new methods offered by empirical statistics and developed by Anatoly Fomenko, the Russian mathematician, and his colleagues, provide plenty of evidence to support the theory that the Dark Ages are a phantom. We find lots of spicy morsels in the cauldron of history, and some of them are impossible to digest without soothing explanations that all the contradictions we encounter are to be blamed on the ignorance of the scribes or some such phenomena inherent in the murky past - fancy the statue of Marcus Aurelius lost for several centuries and then found "by accident" on one of the Roman streets, or Senators ...

Has history been tampered with? Which Da Vinci? Bill Gates grossly overpaid for his Da Vinci manuscipts..Good blow up job Dan. Preparation for conflict of civilizations, isn't it? Anayway, the old Roman Catholic Church (Popery for short), for instance, is involved in a much greater hoax than the most daring writer could possibly conceive of - one that deals with the very foundations of history itself. The above statement is neither an exaggeration, nor a metaphor - very few people are aware that the BC/AD chronology as we know it was created by a handful of Jesuits in the XVI-XVII century - Joseph Scaliger, Dionysius Petavius and their successors. We have grown so accustomed to a timeline that runs through many millennia, from the Egyptian pyramids to the present day, that the mere thought of questioning its veracity seems perfectly preposterous - just like the notion of a rotating earth must have seemed in the epoch of Galileo Galilei, and just as heretical. But nevertheless - the entire conception of ancient and mediaeval history know to us today owes its existence to a XVI century Jesuit hoax. A hoax that has finally been exposed with the aid of astronomy, mathematical statistics and modern computational facilities by one of the world's leading mathematicians - the Russian Academician ...
