Edited to make more sense to the typical conservative. We need health care reform now. Don't let the Republican Party take down our country! Fight for your right to health care!
This is a reaction of a republican's reaction to Pres. Obama's speech.
The Republican response to Obama's speech on his healthcare plan that was given on 09/09/2009
hannity is weak in his approach to find fault in President Obama's speech about Healthcare reform. His show has become a lame sort of shell of what it used to be. As the economy and other areas improve, Hannity has less fuel for his show and his ratings plummet.
While defending his healthcare plan, President Obama is booed and one opponent shouts 'you lie!'
This is my opinion and response to Republican Dr. Charles Boustany's speech after President Obama's address to the Joint Session of Congress. Which to me felt like it was written before Mr. Obama's speech and disregarded the points that were made during it. Republicans need to get their heads out of their wallets for once.
From Newsweek: How nasty has the political discourse in Washington gotten? During his speech to Congress tonight, President Obama defended his health care plan, saying that he had never proposed providing coverage to illegal immigrants. You lie! shouted Rep. Joe Wilson, a Republican from South Carolina, prompting Obama to briefly pause in the delivery of his speech and eye his heckler. No doubt emotions are often heated during these joint sessions with the president and members of Congress, but decorum typically rules—except for tonight, apparently. In an interview with CNN afterwards, Sen. John mccain trashed Wilsons heckling and urged him to apologize. Totally disrespectful, mccain said. So far, no comment from Wilson or his congressional office. One thing is for sure: Wilsons outburst didnt do the GOP any favors tonight, particularly against a backdrop of a speech in which Obama went after his critics to either put up or shut up on health care reform. It completely overshadowed the official Republican response to Obamas speech. Rep. Charles Boustany, a cardiothoracic surgeon from Louisiana, urged Obama to scrap the current bill and start anew with true bipartisan negotiations. We agree much needs to be done to lower the cost of health care for all Americans. On that goal, Republicans are ready — and we've been ready — to work with the President for common-sense reforms that our nation can afford, he said.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan appears on "Face the Nation" to address criticism from the right regarding President Obama's in-school speech to schoolchildren. He also noted that it would be "just silly" for parents to keep their kids home from school on the day Obama would be speaking ...

President Obama's speech on the economy comes to a crashing halt when his teleprompter collapses!
President Barack Obama said his $787 billion stimulus bill has worked as intended as he pushed back against Republican criticism that his recovery program has failed to rescue the economy. It has already extended unemployment insurance and health insurance to those who have lost their jobs in this recession, Obama, who is traveling today in Ghana, said in his weekly Saturday radio and Web address. It has delivered $43 billion in tax relief to American working families and business. Obama ...
House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) delivers the weekly Republican address on the economy, the Obama Administrations trillion-dollar "stimulus" spending bill that isnt working, and Republican efforts to offer better solutions.
House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today delivered the weekly Republican address. The address comes as unemployment rises while Washington Democrats continue to pursue policies on the economy, health care, energy, and the environment that will destroy more American jobs and drive future generations into deeper debt.
