PLEASE READ FIRST! A two-part sequel of Cranford (2007), Return to Cranford was broadcast by BBC as a Christmas special in December 2009. Judi Dench, Imelda Staunton, Julia McKenzie, Deborah Findlay, and Barbara Flynn reprised their roles, with Jonathan Pryce, Celia Imrie, Lesley Sharp, Nicholas Le Prevost, Jodie Whittaker, Tom Hiddleston, Michelle Dockery, Matthew McNulty and Rory Kinnear joining the cast. The program aired on January 10 & 17, 2010 on PBS in the United States. The new stories, which were written by Heidi Thomas and directed by Simon Curtis, took place in August 1844; a year after the wedding of Sophy Hutton and Dr Harrison. If there are people who are interested in Cranford ( who haven`t seen it) I will gladly post it because this is obviously a sequel to that series. Enjoy and let me know! Hm... what can I say? this video is very dear to me. It has been a big project of mine. I haven't been feeling so well 2 months ago. So I worked on this video. You might realize that there is much emotion, anger, sadness, hope, spread in the last part... yeah, this is the result of my "Video Therapy". I can only recommend to make a video when you aren't feeling so well, it really helps! My basic idea for this video was to show all the little lovely and sad stories of the characters of Cranford. An amazing series. To everyone who has not yet watched it: Go and watch it! It is a wonderful series, written by the same author of North & South: Elizabeth Gaskell. There are so many stories in this series. And the love stories of the characters are so different: Miss Matty's love is sweet and patient. Sophie's love is Youth and the first fancying, but it is also overcoming a horrible death in her family and her sudden illness only he can cure. Then there's Martha's love: passionate and hidden, Mary's love who is also very, very hidden, jessie Browns love (that reminds me of Anne Elliot in Persuasion), so affecionate and true, but she gives him up for her family and Peggy's love: overcoming William's father's stolidity and in the end even saving her from death. I love these different kind of love. And I also wanted to show how much these people have to suffer, how much they have to go though, but in the end they find nevertheless mostly all of them their happy ending. That is ...
