PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested the former step-grandfather of Haleigh Cummings for doctor shopping. Investigators say Hank Thomas Croslin Sr., 41, is charged with withholding information from a practitioner. Hank is the father of the woman, Misty Croslin, who police say is the last person to see Haleigh Cummings. During the investigation of the missing 5-year-old, law enforcement says they received information that Hank was getting prescription drugs fraudulently. Investigators say Hank obtained nearly 300 Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different physicians between April and May 2009. Hank was arrested at his Satsuma home and is in the Putnam County Jail on a $7500 bond.

The woman spoke exclusively to WESH 2 Wednesday night. "Cutting me off, slamming on the brakes, coming up next to me, hanging out of the car, saying they're going to kill me," the victim said. The alleged road rage victim, who asked to keep her identity hidden, said she merged onto Interstate 4 at Maitland Boulevard, unknowingly crossing paths with Misty Cummings, the stepmother of missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings. Police said 17-year-old Misty Cummings was a passenger in a car with a female friend, and the victim said the two made threats for about 10 miles. That's when, the victim said, it looked like the missing toddler's stepmother pulled out a gun. "The passenger was flaunting something around, made it seem like she had a gun," the woman said. Meanwhile, the Sheriff's Office is continuing to assign at least three investigators a day to the search for the 6-year-old girl, who disappeared from her father's home in early February. "I don't have any reaction to that letter," Sheriff's Chief of Staff Gary Bowling said. "It is a joke that the media is even reacting to this letter. It's ludicrous." The letter, dated Sept. 18, was allegedly written by Kristina Prevatt, an acquaintance of Misty Croslin Cummings, and released by The Sky 97.3 FM News Talk radio station in Gainesville. Prevatt is being held at the Putnam County jail on charges including failure to appear in court, a probation violation, stalking, and drug and narcotic equipment possession, according to jail records. Police Brutality: PEKIN Three Tazewell County jailers accused of using excessive force against a female inmate last fall have been absolved of the administrative charges against them and ordered reinstated with back pay. But Tazewell County Sheriff Bob Huston said Tuesday that he will fight that ruling in circuit court in an attempt to have correctional officers Jeffrey Bieber and Justin Piro and Sgt. Richard Johnston permanently removed from their positions at the jail. All three have been on administrative leave since October, when Becky Behm was brought to the jail after her arrest on drunken driving charges in Creve Coeur shortly after midnight Oct. 17. By 5:30 am, she had been swung into a concrete wall head-first by Piro, punched in the face by Bieber and pepper sprayed on Johnston's order. The incidents have been the subject of hearings before the Tazewell County Sheriff's Merit Commission since late last year, though those hearings didn't begin in earnest until May. Huston wanted the commission to allow him to terminate the jailers. Attorneys for the officers were scheduled to begin presenting evidence for their clients Tuesday morning, but instead asked the commission to make a direct finding of not guilty and reinstate the jailers to their jobs with back pay. The commission unanimously agreed. "I felt after the prosecution was done that they didn't prove their case - any of it," commissioner Harvey Richmond said. Tazewell County corrections officers Jeffrey Bieber and Justin Piro and corrections Sgt. Richard Johnston were all found not guilty by the Tazewell County Sheriff's Merit Commission Tuesday. Bieber and Piro were accused of using unlawful and unecessary force against Tazewell County Justic Center inmate Becky Behm in October 2008, and Johnston was accused of failure to properly supervise Bieber and Piro. Sheriff Robert Huston's attorney, Thomas mcguire, said that he will soon appeal the case before the circuit court.
