Richard Norton (born January 6, 1950, in Australia) is a martial artist, action film star, and stuntman. Norton worked as a bodyguard in the entertainment business before pursuing an acting career. His first screen appearance was in the 1980 Chuck Norris film The Octagon, and to date he has worked on over 70 feature films and television programs.
He is particularly known for his appearances in Hong Kong action films, being one of few Western stars that can handle the fast pace of HK-style action. Norton's Hong Kong credits include The Magic Crystal, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars, City Hunter,(a live action remake of the comic book), Millionaire's Express, and Mr. Nice Guy. A signature catchphrase of Norton's characters is "Painful?", usually asked after striking a decisive blow. The most comical example is in Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars, where he faces Sammo Hung.

Mr Nice Guy (一個好人, Yat gor ho yan) is a 1997 film directed by Sammo Hung and starring Jackie Chan. It also stars Richard Norton as the villain, with whom Chan and Hung had worked on Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars. Hung makes a cameo as an unfortunate cyclist.
Mr. Nice Guy was filmed in Melbourne, Australia. It was released internationally in 1998. In some releases it was given alternative titles such as Mister Cool (France), No More Mr. Nice Guy (USA) and Super Chef (Spain).
Television journalist Diana (Gabrielle Fitzpatrick) manages to record footage of an illegal drug trade gone wrong. TV chef Jackie (Jackie Chan) helps her escape from the gangsters. Diana later accidentally switches the videotape of the drug trade with one of Jackie's cooking videos from a box of tapes. Jackie unwittingly takes the box to the house of a friend Richard (Peter Houghton), a police detective who is also the son of his tv co-star and Richard's kids take hold of the tape.
