Robert Ginty (born November 14, 1948 in New York, New York) is an American movie actor, producer, scenarist, and director of movies and TV series episodes. He is mostly famous for his many B-movie appearances.
Born in New York, Ginty was involved in several rock bands from a young age, playing and hanging out with several rock legends, including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Carlos Santana and John Lee Hooker. He studied at Yale and trained at the Neighborhood Playhouse and the Actor's Studio. Ginty worked in the regional theater circuit, and moved to Broadway after Harold Prince hired him as his assistant after seeing him perform Shakespeare in New Hampshire.
Eventually Hollywood beckoned and Ginty transplanted himself to the western shore where he found frequent work as a strong-armed player on TV action, appearing in different series in the mid-1970s. Madhouse is a 1990 film starring Kirstie Alley and John Larroquette as a successful married couple whose idyllic California life is ruined when their house is overrun by unwelcome houseguests. This begins when their mail is delayed due to forwarding issues and they find out a cousin, Fred, and his wife, Bernice are coming to visit on the day they are expected to arrive. Though a little unpleasant, this only lasts five days...until Bernice falls on the way to the airport and is instructed by her doctor not to leave until she delivers (six months.) Things progressively get worse as a series of unfortunate events finds Fred gone to find himself and more and more people moving into the house, destroying it in the process. Exterminator 2 is a 1984 action film written and directed by Mark Buntzman and starring Robert Ginty and Mario Van Peebles, with a cameo by Arye Gross.

The Exterminator is a 1980 action movie directed by James Glickenhaus and starring Robert Ginty as John Eastman, aka 'The Exterminator', who takes out the street punks and those involved in organized crime when the law fails to do justice.
The film begins in Vietnam, establishing the friendship between John Eastland (Robert Ginty) and Michael Jefferson (Steve James). The film then shifts to New York, where Eastland and Jefferson work in a food warehouse. One day, a group of thugs called the Ghetto Ghouls attacked Eastland while he was working after Eastland catches them trying to steal beer, and Jefferson came to his aid.
