April 18, 2010 Victoire Pisa wins the Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas)(G1) japanracing.jp Yutaka Take, still in hospital as a result of his fall last month that led to a broken vertebrae and collar bone and severe bruising of his body, said through his Web site earlier in the week that he believed Victoire Pisa was good enough to win the Japanese Triple Crown. That's saying a lot Victoire Pisa certainly didn't disappoint the only jockey he had known on Sunday afternoon. The Katsuhiko Sumii-trained favorite won the 70th Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) in convincing fashion, beating sixth choice Hiruno d'Amour by a length and a half under pinch-hitter Yasunari Iwata for his fifth consecutive victory after losing his debut on Oct. 25. Victoire Pisa's winning time of 2 minutes 8 seconds over the 2000 meters was way off the race record of 1 minute, 58.5 seconds set by No Reason in 2002. The going at Nakayama Racecourse was listed as good, but looked and felt heavier in actuality, according to Iwata who won the race for the second straight year. In 2009, Iwata won the first jewel in the Triple Crown aboard Unrivaled. Sunday's was the first Satsuki Sho victory for Sumii, who already had the last two legs of the Triple Crown to his credit. The trainer won the Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) with the recently retired Vodka and the Kikuka Sho (Japanese St. Leger) with former Melbourne Cup winner Delta Blues. RANUM RAIDER FEST 2010: (An ALL Alumni & Staff Event) Saturday, March 20th, at The Grizzly Rose Night Club I-25 & 58th Ave 6pm to 1 am This event, though with the cooperation of the District, is not a specific class year's reunion, but rather an entire school Alumni & Staff Event for all of the years the school was open. There are other year specific Reunions in the works as well, but this is a blanket event to involve anyone and everyone who ever attended, taught at or worked at Ranum High School. RANUM RAIDER FEST II Is for ALL Alumni who are under 21 years of age and can not otherwise attend the Saturday Event. Ranum Raider Fest II will also be at the Grizzly Rose, but on Sunday, March 21st, at 6PM, this date is family night and anyone of any age can attend. I am very sorry about the change of date, but it was the district's decision to do the closing ceremony on March 15th. The original plan was to combine the two events and so since the closing is on a weekday, We decided that we would put the event as close to the ceremony as possible, but on a weekend day. I am sorry about the drastic change in the original date, but I still hope you can attend this event and If not, then I hope you can attend one of the other year specific events being planned by various class year student councils. Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Recession Cupid is back. With the economy still being messed up everyone may not be able to afford a good Valentine's Day this year. Bella's POV Valentines Day was made for the people inlove. But when they made the holiday they neglected to notice the people who are single and the irony of it. I Bella Swan hate Valentines Day because I'm one of those single people. MUST READ STORY TO UNDERSTAND! So Rose somehow lost her memory just after Titanic. Jack, Ruth, and Cal are deperate to try to get her to remember. Ruth and Cal only want her to remember stuff about them and nothing about Jack. The video starts when Jack has just taken Rose out on a date. She knows she is supposed to know him and love him but she just doesnt cause she has no memory of them together. She tells him, and Ruth and Cal, that she needs space to figure out who she actually is. She informs them that she is going away in a few days.
