A remake of Yoshi's Island 2 from Super Mario World in the New Super Mario Bros Wii engine, made using a pre-release copy of Reggie!, a NSMBWii editor in development by Treeki. This level was created not only for nostalgic purposes, but also to show off how versatile NSMBWii really can be. With the exception of the Chargin' Chucks, which I replaced with the Broozer enemy, the game has all the elements to create a near perfect remake of this level. You can follow Reggie!'s development at gbatemp.net I did not create Reggie!, and I will NOT give out the pre-release to ANYONE. Don't even bother asking.
Donut Plains 3 - 0:06 - Simple level. Flying and Yoshi can really make this level easy. Donut Plains 4 - 2:07 - Another simple level. There's a secret 1-up at 2:42. Hidden 3-up moon at 4:00. Donut Plains 1 - 4:56 - Remember this level? Right at the end fly up over the pipes with a cape and put the key in the keyhole. This is easier after doing the Green Switch Palace but I did things the hard way. Donut Plains 2 - 6:33 - Yup another secret exit. This one is simple. If you have Yoshi just eat the blue shell to fly up where the key is. If you don't have Yoshi use the blue shell to hit the block under the hole to make a vine appear. Climb up it to get to the key. Green Switch Palace - 8:10 - At the beginning make the Koopa hit the shell to get a 1-up. At the end hit the Green Switch to make the green outlined boxes will become solid. If you hit them from underneath you can get a feather. Donut Ghost House - 9:07 - Wait there's a secret exit here to? You bet. And it's right at the beginning as you'll notice in the video. Just enter with a cape and fly up. For finding this you get 4 1-ups. Top Secret Area - 10:00 - It's called secret exit for a reason. This level has no exit. Just use it for getting easy flowers, feathers, Yoshis, and 1-ups. Bonus Game - 4:22 - Note to self; do't do bonus games with Yoshi.

Next Stage - www.youtube.com Well, after 3 months, I have started a new project called, SMW World of Pain by Penangbenny of course! This video is tool-assisted by the way. Once again, inspired by Cool or Cruel. MUSIC: First intro - CUSTOM Lullaby Second intro - Blooper Bay Incomprehensible - Touhou 6 - Beloved Tomboyish Girl This hack has some kaizo traps that I have made up, and is almost based off of the criteria of Cool or Cruel. You can tell that when you reach the second level. The overworld is very, very similar, and you have to obviously go into the star (just like C | C) and you meet the puzzle level. Then you keep going on. Yeah, I am going to show you the tricks to every level, except the secret exits, so you must find it on your own. There is also a special world. Can you find it? NOTE: This TAS is very old, so that means I may have edited a few things after I finished my TAS. I decided to play through this game, but faster than your average play through. In other words, it's a speed run. It's not one of those "ZOMG impressive/10" runs, but it's a run I can at least be proud of. This is the first run where all of star world went how I wanted it to. Now for some individual level comments. (some levels may be skipped) All of Yoshi's Island - This wasn't perfect, but it's not bad. I took a few spots slow on purpose to keep a consistent speed throughout each level. Donut Land + Donut Secret (Water level) - I hate cape flying when I'm off screen. I usually mess the rhythm up and go under the pipe, but in this one I was able to keep it. As for the water level; I went pretty fast, but slowed down hear the end. That part and I certainly do not mix, so I took it slow to assure my survival and to preserve my cape. Donut Secret Ghost House - Not much I can say here. Most of it went pretty well. All of Star World - One word. Huzzah. The first star level I decided to not use the cape block glitch because you are very prone to death if said glitch is attempted. The third level in star world is my worst enemy in the entire game. I went through so many runs where I screwed up this course and this course only, so to get there and execute it greatly pleased me a lot. The fourth star world level was really good too. I managed to do the glitch that lets me eat only 4 enemies instead of 5 to force Yoshi into a growth spurt. Bowser's Castle - I chose door 3 because ...

Hello everybody and welcome to Let's Play Super Mario World. This is my 8th Let's Play and my 1st LP of a game I had previously done on my channel. I am redoing this game because the old project had bad video quality and no commentary. This will be a 100% LP of the game, so I will go through all 96 goals of the game. I will also try to show the many secrets of the game. This will be updated along with LP Fire Emblem, but will probably be finished first due to the much smaller length of the game. I personally don't see this project going over 20 videos. 10000 Views - July 30th, 2009 20000 Views - November 14th, 2009

It has the original music, but no annotations, so take your pick. www.viddler.com Oh, and before people start asking, the audioswapped song is "Speak to Angels" by 009 Sound System. TASes are recordings of games "formed by constructing an input file slowly over time using an emulator as a tool to overcome human limitations such as skill and reflex, then playing the file back to give the impression that the game is played extraordinarily" (from TASVideos.org). Tools such as savestates, frame-advance (not used in this TAS), and slowdown are used extensively to produce superhuman play. Not the most fun thing to make, let me tell you (especially with ZSNES.) If you wish to request a game for me to TAS, read my channel page description first for the "rules." Hack created and requested by penangbenny Don't mind the HUD difference after the non-scrolling castle and after the yellow switch-palace type area; penangbenny forgot to add those rooms in until after I was done with what he had already given me, and I was not about to re-do everything. Also, even though it says it's version 1.3, there is no big difference in the actual level (really, the main difference is that 1.7 has one or two different backgrounds, and a few more spike-walls to not allow some walljumps I made in the TAS.) By the way, the TAS was made using ZSNES since it was back when snes9x didn't agree with my computer for some reason (it took ...

RATE THE REVIEW, NOT THE HACK =) What's up! Let's start out 2009 with a hack review, shall we? ^_^ It's just a little present, nothing extraordinary. I wish you all a happy new year, and I would also like to thank you all for your support, it really helped me out this year. Special thanks to Maatan (MAATIR), for helping me out with timing, even with the short time, he was accurate enough as to get everything ready for today. RATE THE REVIEW, NOT THE HACK =) Hey there! Again, long time no see. This is the last 2008 review! So this was a pleasure to do, but as you may have noticed, it took me A LOT of time to upload. First off, you control Pokey, that makes the hack particular, and it's a great idea, why use a plumber when you can use a cactus? Yeah, just ignore that. So, there's a very desertic look in the whole game, from the basic sprites to the background of every level, everything fits perfectly the whole desertic ambience stuff, so visually, the hack has a pretty good standing. One thing that can get stressing with time is music, since some levels use the same tune, you can get annoyed pretty fast if you're trying to focus on the game (or if you're frustrated, why not), but still, most of the music in the hack's pretty good, so for a ...

Here is the revision to my SMW Castle theme, as promised. The full changelog includes: -Minor tweaks on the intro -Slight added sustain on some hearts -Redone build-up for more tension -Redone transition into gameboys. -Redone gameboys to actual song (1/16 triplets) -Changed some chord voices -Changed a star voice at 1:14 area -Fixed a few transitions -Fixed the ending cutoff -More dynamic work throughout -More echo effect on gameboy triplets -Slightly more prominent plane sound with the gameboys I think thats all... Special Thanks to LoloGuru, for suggesting revision of build-up EXTRA Special Thanks to SatoshiLyish, for... Suggestion to change Ab+G car chord before 1:14. Suggestion that some star voices at 1:14 were incorrect. And mostly, Taking a frequency spectrum analysis to prove that I was wrong about the Ab+G cars! I still think it sounds better =P If some of you watching this can, please include your thoughts of that Ab+G chord. I think I hear a dissonant sound in the actual song, but SatoshiLyish believes it should be G+C (which his analysis proved it was). This mishap could be due to the nature of the car itself. Done by ear as usual... This time, in a very large amount of time.

Yoshi's Island 1.
Almost done. Here are the World 7 Bosses. Again, PM me for help or for reporting a missing boss. Any bosses I miss will be put into my Part 7 boss video (since World 8 might require two parts, since battles are long). 7-Fortress: Not many may know of this location, nor have actually beaten this fortress. It's accessed by the secret exit of 7-2. Clearing either that or the Ghost House (which doesn't have a boss) drains the water, allowing you to get to the secret exit. The first boss has only two means of harming you, and fortunately, direct contact ISN'T one of them. It has a spread attack, which is easy to avoid, and it tosses yellow shells at you, with the small Koopa still inside. Direct contact with the shell damages the boss. The trick is, though, the shell has to be the same color as the boss. Simply put, if the shell doesn't deal damage, it's the wrong color. The boss also drops Cape Feathers, these are necessary to damage the boss. Just spin to hit the shells with the cape to turn them into a color. If it's the wrong one, kick them and try again. This boss took a little while for me because I kept getting hit and lost a few shells. Now the other boss...is a pain. There are actually two phases of the fight here, and you can get hit six times before you die, and Mario is always Cape Mario. The first isn't too bad, you just have to deal with two heads. The pink one attacks more often than the blue one. Pink has a red projectile it shoots, landing on it deals damage ...
I just barely made it. These bosses are from World 6. Again, any I missed or levels that you need help on, PM me. 6-Fortress 1: Oh boy, look who's back...the Rock Monster from Mega Man. Just avoid the parts that fly at you (helps to crouch and jump), then hit the eye with three blocks, while watching attacks from the eye itself. The Chomper is back, and he's not happy about the last meeting. He'll shoot Banzai Bills at you and release Giant Paratroopas. Direct the shell toward Chomper to damage him. He'll get mad and hop toward you, get under him. He'll then make a big leap and land on the right side, repeating the first phase. After a second hit, he'll jump and land on the left side. He's really mad now, but won't fire Banzai Bills. Instead, he hops up and down while releasing Giant Paratroopas. You need to get Chomper to land on the kicked shell to finish him. Finally, Giant Wiggler, a secret boss. He's easy, so no strategy to save room. 6-Fortress 2: This is Kirby Castle. This fortress gets the award for most bosses in a SMW level: 5. Whispy Woods is another easy boss, just be to the right of the apples that fall. Now Kracko is pretty difficult. He drops Gordos and Waddle Dees; toss the Waddle Dees at Kracko to damage him. He can also swoop down at you and shoot lightning, stay at the edges. Four hits will do it. King Dedede, Kirby's "rival", is tough to hit, but not a hard boss. He can simply run at you and trip, he can jump really high in the air and crash down (I ...

RATE THE REVIEW, NOT THE HACK! Hey there, another review, hope you like it. Let's start. ----------- Information Hack: Bowser's Mercenaries Author: Xgor Author's Channel: www.youtube.com ----------- Carlos Alvarez (Solracxealz) Review: GREAT HACK!! Score: 93 / 100 Gameplay: 10 Graphics: 9 Music: 8 Sound: N/A Difficulty: 10 Sprites: 8 Tilt: 10 Storyboard: 10 Style: 9 Originality: 10 ------------ "Bowser's Mercenaries", it's good name, but it has not much to do with the game. As soon as you start to play, you feel comfort with the scenery, and with the level design, it's all correctly put on it's place, but there are some aspects that are remarkable on the game properties. One of them is the fact of that the same music is used on almost every level (except for underground and bonus levels), it's a good tune, but it gets very old after a few levels. Another thing, is that some zones are graphically repetitive, what I mean, is that some levels use the same kind of floor, on the whole level extension, but that can be let go, as the level design is great. The difficulty is perfectly established, it can be even played by beginners, but that doesn't mean that it's very easy, it simply is balanced. Speaking about the sprites, nothing new was added, not even a boss has been added yet, but it should be a fact that it will be there. About the story, we find a not-so-typical one: Ugly red plumber goes to rescue princess, but boat gets glitched (glitched?, now, that's cool) and ugly ...
I think I'll move onto something else that is just as fun as Gradius, though a bit more relaxed. I'm going to do some Super Mario World Hacks, starting with a demo. Basic Land is a 7-level demo (not including the Yoshi's House level), though only 6 are complete. It has some interesting graphics and the overworld is different (the bigger overworld, though, is pretty ugly), but it's mainly the same. It also has some custom sprites and backgrounds. The difficulty is just about right, though the later levels are a tad hard. It's a pretty good demo hack that can entertain you for about a good 10-20 min (unless you end up struggling on some of the later levels), but look elsewhere if you want a longer hack (basically, don't do demos if you want full games). Otherwise, this might be worth a small amount of your time. This will be 3 parts. Recommend or not recommend this hack? I recommend for quick games, but not for something addicting.

RATE THE REVIEW, NOT THE HACK! This review was launched today to celebrate thanksgiving day. Happy thanksgiving, I really wish you a nice holiday, have fun. Enjoy the review! ---------- Information Hack: Super Mario Odyssey Author: Rusted ROMS Hacks ----------- Carlos Alvarez (Solracxealz) Review: EXCELLENT HACK! Score: 96 / 100 Gameplay: 10 Graphics: 10 Music: N/A Sound: 9 Difficulty: 10 Sprites: 10 Tilt: 10 Storyboard: 8 Style: 10 Originality: 10 ------------ The game starts with an awesome interface, you feel that a professional company made the game. You feel so excited to start, that you see the story as a very simple part of the hack. But if you put attention to it, well, you find a terribly structured storyboard, it clearly states the hack as a "game" in the gaming experience itself, so, it isn't that real, and it isn't ingenious at all, but it's the only bad thing i find to it. The scenarios are greatly designed and structured, it's a comfortable ambience, you really feel in a Super Mario World 2 title, and that's our ultimate goal. The background is changed as you keep advancing in the levels and the foreground too, making the scenarios very original and the graphics superb. But the real deal comes along with the complete redesign after completing the first castle. A huge space sector appears, showing redesigned sprites, scenarios, backgrounds, foregrounds and even the lava is transformed to nuclear fuel! Watching different enemies' sprites makes you feel in an ...
The author claims to have discovered this glitch in elementary school. No cheat codes were used. Does not work on the GBA version. Original at www.nicovideo.jp
This is not the real name for this series of videos, but it is my personal name for it. The literal translated name for 自作の改造マリオ(スーパーマリオワールド)を友人にプレイさせる is "Making my friend play through my own Mario(Super Mario World) hack", hence Kaizo(hack) Mario to the USA. The original videos were in god awful codecs that were a bitch to convert, so unfortunately the Tool Assisted Speedruns came first to most youtube watchers. This is rather unfortunate, as I feel you lose a lot of the "appeal" by watching those. Anyway, watch an evil genius of a level designer subject his friend with godly skills to the must fucked up combination of creative, insane, downright ASSHOLEISH Super Mario World levels ever dreamed of. A remake of the prequel has been released. It's probably as good than this one. Check out the video I made about it: www.youtube.com Nice, 100k views. I hope it helped increasing the popularity of his hack cause he really deserves it. Anyway thanks all for watching and commenting. It's for those that aren't patient enough to search for them. Each area has a pretty challenging bonus room and they are all optional. Though I'm only showing them, you'll have to search if you want to play them =P. This video was pretty long so it comes in two parts. Even if I often repeat myself, I still want to say, that no tools were used... Anyway zsnes doesn't allow me to use savestates when recording. Well, Enjoy This hack was done by FPI production, which I'm in no way related. Get this hack and some other as awesome at this site www.fpi-productions.de
As usual, a couple of starting notes. One, there are five yoshi coins and a couple of other secrets in this level; I just didn't want to reveal everything. Two, even though this is the "full" version, I'm still leaving room for change until the entire level set is complete. Three, I'm still considering switching the order of the four areas; if you feel I should switch something, let me know. Oh, and four: savestates weren't used during gameplay, as usual. So...after learning a few new tricks with Lunar Magic, I decided to add two areas to this stage, especially since length was one of the major criticisms for this level. There are a lot of little things going on here, so I won't try to explain it all. Just let me know what you think. I don't want to show my entire level set before it's finished, so videos of my levels might become a little sparse, as I will probably try to complete several levels before posting one. Just be patient :p.
Some music from SMW.
There are many ways to the key hole in Valley Ghost House. Here is one played small and without the P.
