Sony Pictures has officially announced that Andrew Garfield has landed the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in director Marc Webb's Untitled Spider-Man Film! The film focuses on a teenager grappling with both contemporary human problems and amazing super-human crises. The action adventure will open in 3D and 2D theaters on July 3, 2012.

Sony Pictures has decided to cancel Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4. Sony will opt for a reboot of the franchise. Yes Peter Parker will be a high school student once again. The script is written by James Vanderbilt. Raimi will most likely move onto the production of the World of Warcraft film. With the upcoming Spider-Man 4 set to be released in May 6, 2011, & in line is Spider-Man 5. This video shows the people who have the potential to play the role of Spider-Man's villains. The Lizard: ----------- Dylan Baker, who appeared in the 2nd & 3rd movie as Dr Curt Connors, The Lizard is set to appear in the 4th movie. Connors turns into a savage, scaly monster after he experiments with a lizard-based serum in an attempt to grow back his missing arm and goes horribly wrong, leaving him with incredible strength and agility, the ability to regenerate and a deadly whipping tail. Connors, who's Peter Parker's university physics teacher, is clearly being set up for a larger role, but it remains to be seen if he'll go green in 4 or 5. Venom: ----- With Venom set to return, the person that must have this role is Kurt Russell, who will play as Edward Brock Jr's father, Edward Brock Sr. - an older, larger Venom who bonds with the symbiote to exact revenge on Spider-Man. apparently Willem Dafoe is hoping for a sort of "Goblin ressurrection" for this one because as you guys know in the comics, Norman doesn't really die. So here are some other villain and/or character ideas 1) SCORPION: Mac Gargan is an excellent example of how much J. Jonah Jameson hates Spider-Man. In the comics, JJ hires a scientist to help create the Scorpion as a way to get rid of Spider-Man. Casting choices I'd reccommend: Vin Diesel, Ralph Fiennes 2) ELECTRO: Max Dillon having the power to manipulate and generate electricity, definetely one that Spider-Man would have a hard time trying to beat. I'm hoping that they go for a blend of electricity and human for him, not entirely electricity because that would be a rip off of Sandman. 3) SHOCKER: Shocker would be awesome to see. A guy using shockwaves to blast at things would be sweet, the only issue is the costume. Shocker looks very outgoing when it comes to costume, so I'm hoping they would go for the ultimate version. For cast I'd recommend Laurence Fishburne, he looks like he has the outline of the Shocker. 4) JACKAL: If Jackal was introduced, please don't make him go into full costume. Dr. Miles Warren would be awesome enough because he would introduce the cloning arc, possibly bringing back Green Goblin. 5) RHINO: Definetely a brute force, though alone he would not be much of a villain. Rhino is the brawn compared to the brains. For casting, I'd reccommend any wrestler. 6) MORLUN: Morlun is one of Spider-Man's ...
