Sam Lerner (b.September 27 1992 (Source: IMDB)) is an American child actor who made his major debut as the role of Chowder in the 2006 Oscar-nominated computer-animated film, Monster House. Lerner also played a lead role in the feature film Envy as the son of Ben Stiller and Rachel Weisz. Sam was a series regular on the Brett Ratner-directed "Untitled Diamond-Weissman pilot" for CBS-TV, playing the son of John Leguizamo and Claire Forlani. Before that, he was cast as the son of Wendy Malick and Sam Robards in the ABC-TV pilot, "My Life With Men." Sam has also appeared on the television shows Malcom in the Middle, The King of Queens, Two and a Half Men and Oliver Beene and had a recurring voice role on the Cartoon Network show Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?. Monster House is an Academy Award-nominated 2006 computer animated suspense film released on July 21, 2006. The film's characters are animated primarily utilizing performance capture, making it the second film to use the technology so extensively, following producer Robert Zemeckis' The Polar Express. The plot revolves around a preteen boy, Douglas J. "D.J." Walters (Mitchel Musso), who spends lots of his free time spying the house across the street and its owner, Mr. Nebbercracker (Steve Buscemi), a crotchety old man who terrorizes anyone who steps anywhere on his lawn or close to his house.
