Samantha Bond (born November 27, 1961) is an English actress best known for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the James Bond films starring Pierce Brosnan. Married to Alexander Hanson and has two children Molly and Tom. She is also the sister of actress Abigail Bond.
Samantha attended the Godolphin and Latymer School, and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. Daughter of Philip Bond and Pat Sandys, with two siblings - Matthew Bond and Abigail Bond.
She has appeared in many television series, notably the 1997 adaptation of Emma starring Kate Beckinsale. She is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company and starred opposite Dame Judi Dench in David Hare's award-winning play Amy's View at the Royal National Theatre. She is the daughter of the actor Philip Bond. Bond also has two children, Molly and Tom.

GoldenEye, released in 1995, is the 17th film in the James Bond series and the first to star Pierce Brosnan as the fictional British secret agent James Bond. Unlike previous James Bond films, the screenplay was not based on the writings of Bond creator Ian Fleming, although the film's title is taken from Fleming's home in Jamaica. The original story was conceived and written by Michael France, with a later collaboration by several other writers, and was directed by Martin Campbell. In the film, Bond fights to prevent an arms syndicate from using the GoldenEye satellite weapon against London and cause a global financial meltdown.
